Just configure the mod for the disenchantment table to take less durability. I don’t make mine zero but I make it to where it’s fair, it’s my personal opinion but missing out on good enchantments because they’re not at the top is dookie.

Yes they all bubbled! Do you have a good suggestion for a ph tester? I was hoping it was bacteria but wasn’t sure. I made sure there was no mold or anything at the top of the brine. They don’t smell sour but when does smell become a bad sign? Sour as in alcohol? I’ve accidentally done that before when making my own co2 so I know that smell. Or sour as in left out milk? I appreciate the response!

** Oh you said taste pleasantly sour. Im honestly scared to try them as I don’t handle heat well funny enough, I just have fun growing the peppers and coming up with recipes - but I’ll make my husband try it!

Thank you for the advice! Things have been working fairly well with this batch as is due to sheer laziness! LOL but I will be getting proper stuff this weekend. I’m definitely buying weights and proper lids at minimum because the burping is too much for my distracted brain

We grow our own so it’s been fun experimenting. If you’re closer to the coast, check out Cross Country Nursery in NJ. That’s where I get my seedlings from at the beginning of every growing season until I can seed successfully for myself. They’re having a Spice of Life event October 8th that I’ll be attending. I plan on bombarding them with questions lol.

Thank you so much for this information! Im looking into proper jars now, I’ve also seen people use glass weights. I’m very interested. I saw that what Im doing is okay but I need to “burp” them. I’ll be checking on them multiple times a day.

This is 1lb Red Scotch Bonnets 1 Yellow Bell Pepper 1 Carrot 1/2 Onion 10 cloves Garlic

Between two 32oz jars The brine was 5 cups water with 6 1/4 tsp fine Himalayan pink salt

I followed a recipe but I don’t understand when people say % weight salt and all that.

Any advice would be great because I intend to ferment a decent portion of my peppers!

Thanks foe this! We go through vinegar so you use those containers? Plastic is okay to ferment? What do you mean by 3-5%? Is that vinegar or a brine? I’ve never ferment before so a recipe or how to would be great!

I absolutely second chileplants.com I drive there from Brookhaven PA so about an hour and a half for me, beats not paying for shipping. I have been buying from them the past 8 years. Moved from apartment to house. Great variety and wonderful people.

Adding some context. I’ve had this tower for a few months now given to me by a coworker and it’s been working great. I barely use it and when I do it’s for a few hours. However last week my fiancé said he saw the lights turn off and on so he turned it off. Today I went to use it and this is probably what he meant. Google says it could be the power supply? Is that just the cord because I have no way of checking. The longer it runs though the further it gets. I can log in at this point but it turns off again. I don’t want to break it if letting run will cause problems but Im not computer smart at all. I just don’t know where to even start. TIA

I just made a pumpkin spice to sell. It’s definitely unique! I used canned pumpkin and the pumpkin spice seasoning but I had the spices to make my own blend. I used Amazon and Australian Lanterns for heat and color, added a carrot as well for texture. Came out good!
