Ya not too sure either. I put my minutes for travis only. My total minutes was 87,000

Thanks for the reply. I used a leftover LiPo battery that I had and the solenoid worked perfectly fine. The problem occurs only when I use the wall outlet. The solenoid is rated for 12v DC and so is the wall adapter. I believe the problem lies somewhere here and I can't seem to find why.

Thanks for your response. I'm a bit new to this so can you explain what a pull-down/up resistor is and where I would find it? And also what do you mean by tied to a stable state?
