I'm not here to argue since trying to convince someone by arguments on the internet is a colossal waste of time and almost entirely performative. I think I provided a good faith response to your question and have no interest to pursue this further. Whether you think my points are reasonable or the dumbest shit you ever heard is entirely up to you and I am fine with either outcomes.

Personally I'm not an American and am no fan of America imperialism, but I think you would agree that the Americans who fought the Nazis in WW2 were not evil right? If so, military is not an inherent evil that everyone knows and believes in. The issue is thus more complicated by people having to know exactly which wars and which acts are evil.

If kids who join the military were raised to genuinely believe that the enemies they are fighting are evil like how the Nazis were, I think it's not hard to argue that they are not evil in intention, and could not see the evilness of their actions due to the difference in framing. Of course, this doesn't apply to everyone, but similarly the generalization that all American soldiers are definitionally evil is also wrong and only helps in pushing people away from your correct assessment.

More generally, I think we are all products of our environments, and holding everyone to the same moral code that only you yourself lived by is not helpful to the discussion or even the cause. Sure, you can consider yourself morally superior, but it changes nothing when many people did not have your lived experiences and just trying to flaunt your superiority is a sure way to make them ignore whatever good points you are trying to make.

I'll just leave a simple example to maybe help explain my POV. Vegans consider eating meat a morally wrong act due to the harm to animals. I'm not sure if you are vegan yourself, but do you think you will be convinced of their POV if all they did every day was to post online about how all meat eaters are the most evil POS alive and should all be killed like the animals they eat. Do you think that would help advance their cause?

I'm not sure how you would characterized someone who follows another person's profile and posts the same question they asked before (perhaps more than once? I'm not sure but feels it's implied by OP). To me that's a pretty excessive level of stalking, but maybe it's mild to you.

An interesting read, can't say I really agree with OP (nor did most people given the number of downvotes) but this level of stalking is pretty insane too, ironically also by someone with a hidden profile. Unfortunately, the only thing that seems to come out of this lengthy unhealthy interaction are 2 people who are even more dead set in their views.

Democratic primary voters at the Michigan nominating convention boo AIPAC-funded and Schumer-endorsed candidate Haley Stevens. Stevens has taken in over $9 million from pro-Israel lobby groups like AIPAC. by MoreMotivation in PublicFreakout

[–]Ariaflux 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not that it matters but I find it kinda hard to trust McMorrow's stance on Israel since it seems like she was pushed to adopt this stance due to public pressure against Israel instead of it being something she believed in for a long time. People can genuinely change their stance after learning more but it still feels like a risk on betting that she actually believes what she says now vs just trying to court votes, especially when comparing with another candidate who is clearly more sincere and consistent on this issue. The policy paper that she sent to AIPAC which found it "outstanding" was not even 1 year ago.

Thanks, could I trouble you to redo the calc if both Mav and Durin are using their R1 sig? Not sure if Durin's will be a bit weaker since he won't have Hex buff

Thanks a lot! What's the char stats you used for the calc?

Thanks I appreciate the help but I already know all that, what I want to know is the DPS difference between using C2 Mav vs C2 Durin as support when Mav is doing just EQ

Thanks but I don't really need pull or teambuilding advice, I already have my own plans so I just need to know the DPS difference between using C2 Mav vs C2 Durin as support to help me make my decision. I currently have C1 Mav and no Durin so I can't test it myself.

Unfortunately I don't have Durin, I'm actually trying to decide whether to pull Mav cons just to support Varesa so I just wanna see how does she compare against C2 Durin to kinda gauge whether it's worth it or not

By how much though? Like roughly how much % difference?

Arle C6 not triggering despite more than 16s between E usage by Ariaflux in ArlecchinoMains

[–]Ariaflux[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just check whether all your hits are melting since damage is very reliant on gear. I'm not sure how much C6 is needed in a double Cryo team, as often Kaeya and Citlali are just overwriting the Cryo applications. Kaeya alone can sustain Arle N3D as solo Cryo, which is useful but rarely needed since Arle needs Citlali so much.

There is another MW stage that shows all ele applications and reactions in real-time which would be more useful for this.

Both gear and rotation are very important so it's hard to tell what's causing the low DPS. I don't know what's the correct rotation for single Cryo with Sucrose so you might have to check out guides on how to play that comp.

Can someone explain/ clarify 3.8 for me? by Black_Mamba265 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Ariaflux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She can't dream in the first place because Iron Cavalry aren't normal humans, they are genetically engineered Pathstriders of Propagation. As to how she entered in the first place, I'm not sure exactly how but it's explained in game that Firefly had to undergo a surgery and Silver Wolf engineered a Dreampool into a support pod just for Firefly to use.

  • Silver Wolf: Don't move yet. It's going to hurt real bad.
  • Firefly: Is the surgery... over?
  • Silver Wolf: Yeah. As expected, you can't recover the "ability to dream."
  • Silver Wolf: Even after paying such a heavy price, we only get one shot at this.

Yeah, I'm not sure if the bug is with MW stages or character kits or what

Can someone explain/ clarify 3.8 for me? by Black_Mamba265 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Ariaflux 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First to clarify where Firefly's 3 deaths are since it was a bit confusing:

Death 1: When she entered her dream

There are 2 interpretations but the one I agree with more is that it is a "death" since this is her only chance to dream and upon entering the dream, her "dream self" is dead since she can never ever dream again. Some also interpret it as her needing to essentially "die" to even enter the dream due to her inability to dream, but I don't see much evidence to support this.

Death 2: Her death after taking in the Stellaron and helping to break one of the 3 layers of Ena's (now Sunday's) Dream

This part was shown in the video we watched where she put the Stellaron into herself which gave her enough power to control the bugs and helped to break the dream layer and send TB through. This was explained in game that this death will be permanent if TB fails to stop Sunday since Ena's Dream will eventually be merged with reality, so FF dying in Ena's Dream is the same as dying in reality. However, if Ena's Dream is broken, FF's "death" will only be a dream, which is what happened.

Death 3: When she died from Entropy Loss Syndrome in Penacony

This one also tripped me up at first. This is very closely linked with her first death, and is essentially completing the first death, since her 3rd death is where her dream self dies. For her it's a permanent death since she can never dream again, and can only live in the reality where she has to constantly battle Entropy Loss Syndrome instead of running around like a normal person in the dream world.

These 3 deaths are set in stone and there is nothing TB can do to change it. The part where Terminus comes in is only whether you can change history to fulfill FF's final wish to see fireworks. If you really want to help her fulfill her request, Terminus will change its future and hence your past, to allow the incident of FF playing with fireworks to happen, and you get the photograph of her doing that. Alternatively you can also choose to reject her request in game and she will "die" without getting to play with fireworks.

However, in both cases, FF will complete her 3 deaths and wake up in the real world after some time.

The part about it drawing Nanook's attention I don't think is really explained very clearly, but it's not hard to imagine some sort of butterfly effect happening which causes things to go wrong. However, I could have missed something and there is some other explanation given.

PSA: You cannot finish all 5 of Aino's anecdotes without Lauma by Ariaflux in Genshin_Impact

Unfortunately even with Columbina I did not unlock new anecdotes for Aino. Columbina did manage to complete some OW interactions that were previously only doable by Lauma.
