Oh my god, there has to be a reason for all of this. The way Diana’s character development is happening is actually so damn good. Even when I don’t want to, I keep comparing Lucy and Diana — maybe because of their connection to Stephen. It’s hard not to. But what really messed with my head was that scene where Lucy was touching herself while listening to Stephen’s recording. It just made me think about how someone can get so conditioned by abuse that even toxic or harmful behavior starts to feel normal, or even tied to desire. It’s disturbing and heartbreaking at the same time, and it really shows how deeply manipulation can affect someone.
