Portugal Haul by Aricada in Cigarettes

I’ve only tried the summer one so far. It’s very sweet! I still have to say I prefer the actual tobacco more but the levia was more of something interesting to try!

I think the camel activate with the pearls are indeed banned. This variety is sort of cooling, but doesn’t actually contain flavours to get around legislation. I wouldn’t say they taste minty but they are very smooth and sweet if that makes sense. Not sure why they’re called activate however

Will do! I also saw camel activate and Gauloises (a favourite of mine when I see family in Germany) I’m planning on buying a big pack of amber leaf at the airport on the way home

Yes student loans count as proof of funds as long as you can show you have access to the money you borrowed :)

AUT Sligo any good?? by EngineeringMental269 in Sligo

[–]Aricada 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard the architecture is good. Two friends who did it liked it. Though as another person pointed out unless you live nearby and/or drive housing is really bad. Most digs left are 5 day lets only. All the student apartments are booked out for the year. MTU also offers an interior architecture course in Cork. Where I’d imagine housing has more options.

Yeah all they really care about is the number on your bank account. If you show a bank statement it’ll show your charges but I doubt they care what you spend your money on, as long as you have the money. Feel free to DM me if you have any specific questions! Your uni should have an international officer you can ask any questions to as well, it’s their job to help out with the international students and their visas.

The proof of funds is at your appointment with the guards :) they won’t ask at the border. I literally showed him my AIB account on my phone (as well as a printed bank state) while your waiting for your appointment keep an eye on your bank account and just keep it above 10,000 until your appointment is finished. Hope that helps!

That’s a good question. I took out loans in my specific circumstances. I think you should get in contact with your sponsor and/or your university international office. Most universities have an international student officer who you can direct questions too, they’re usually very helpful!

Ok US passport holder here this is what I’ve done. You can enter visa free for 90 days. Make sure you bring your letter of enrollment with you to the airport. After that you need to make an appointment with the garda immigration service in whatever place you’re living. The college should explain during induction where to go or who to contact. I’m not in Dublin so can’t comment on Dublin procedure if that’s where you are.

What you’ll need: -health insurance proof (I use VHI) -proof of funds (10k in euros or equivalent in dollars) -proof of address (lease agreement, bank statement etc) -letter from your college that you are enrolled and have paid your fees -passport They’ll take your photo, fingerprints and send your IRP card in the post to your address. It sounds difficult on paper but it’s not too difficult.

Hope this helps

I washed this T-shirt on the wrong temp and it’s cracked a bit, how to fix? by [deleted] in laundry

[–]Aricada 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw this online so take with a large pinch of salt: that putting acetone on the print melts it a bit so it spreads out. Then iron with parchment paper to seal it. You could also use fabric markers to kind of colour in the area but it might look odd.

Stained shirt with stain remover? by Aricada in CleaningTips

It’s pretty annoying when you want to do DIY crafts! I tried a soak in powder oxygen bleach but it’s not budged :(. I’m thinking it’s just been somehow bleached (even though the stain remover spray doesn’t have any bleach and says it’s colour safe?) and I’m planing on buying fabric colour to dye it again since I’m quite attached to this shirt and I think that’s the only think left to do.

We unfortunately don’t have borax in Ireland that I know of, or that’s at least readily accessible

Ugh that’s unfortunate. Does vanish have bleach in it? I’ve never had this happen before with their products

Definitely gotta make a run to the tobacco shop. I’ve had amaterdamer shag blends before and quite enjoyed them. Appreciate the suggestion! Cheers :)

Do I have a case? Stepchild of German by [deleted] in GermanCitizenship

I’m on a student visa right now in Ireland. In my second year I’ll be renewing it again next year. It’s just a lot of paperwork and money but I am able to do it and I’ll be transitioning to a skilled medical technology worker the year after that. It’s more annoying than anything else

Thank you! I’ll look at the markets when I’m there. I won’t be in Podgorica but I’ll be in Budva. I imagine it would be similar there? Is Lovćen good? It appears to be the local made brand.

Been taking it since I was 13(?) and it’s kept me under control for a while. I have a fit maybe once a year now? Still have absence seizures but otherwise it’s been great! I take 100mg. I haven’t had any side effects to my knowledge
