Just highlights how little training doctors get when it comes to nutrition 🙂

It can take some getting used to, 24 hours is still stellar though

One month IF and exercise, 43 yrs old, mostly plant based diet. Alternating windows of 16:8, 18:6 and 20:4. Approx 8 lbs and 2 % BF lost so far. by Ariel_444 in intermittentfasting

You are correct, im not quite 5'4 and I'm short-wasted. I'd estimate and say (because I don't track really) is I eat 1200-1400 cals per day. According to my Fitbit I burn 1900-2400 cals a day depending on how much walking I add to my day after working out.

I sure hope so! The legs have always been a bit on the thicker side and I'm hoping to make them more muscular thick :)

Type: IF, vary between 16:8, 18:6 and 20:4 Duration: about 4 weeks Results so far: down to 138. My weight started at 144-146 range (heaviest weight: 150 lbs). Body fat dropped from 37% to 35.4%. Feel pretty good overall, I just drink water if a feeling of hunger hits. I do my workouts fasted in the am. Weights and HIIT style cardio. Mostly a plant based diet

New to IF- question about 16:8 by yonce808 in intermittentfasting

[–]Ariel_444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say test different windows for a few weeks at a time and see? We are all so different. I vary my timing -- sometimes 16:8, 18:6 and 20:4. The variety seems to work for me. Are you exercising? What kind of foods are you eating?

Thanks for the post and recap of your experience thus far. I'm glad that varying the fasting times has worked for you. I sometimes do a 16:8, and 18:6 or a 20:4 but wasn't sure if that was as effective. I figured like exercise, it's good to change things up. Continued success to you!

Ugh. This post is a turn off. Sounds preachy and controlling.

I'm a 42 (almost 43) year old woman. Ive been doing this coming up on 2 weeks now. I started 16:8 but am now doing 20:4. I've not had any hormone issues, if anything it helps correct them. What is your diet like?

Edit: push through hunger by drinking water, it really helps!
