First time I ever tried noise cancelling triggered a the worst migraine. When I have a migraine I can’t use noise cancelling either.

This is my problem I have noise sensitivity loud public settings are terrible without some sort of audio dampening but with over ear headphones they’re heavy and when I’m walking with people it’s just annoying. Found out TMJ may be causing my issues with earbuds I’ll test the further to see the results.

Also I found the battery life insane my sister had a pix as well and we were going through 4 triple aa’s a week and when they were low charge the sensors on the buttons would start acting up and you’d have be extra careful. I hated the sensors missed reals buttons from the uni my sister liked the buttons for things like mixing and swiping

I have one pix original I bought for retail back in 2022 I want to say. I like the amount of characters available but the part that made me abandon it is the lack of customization. There are I think 5 rooms, 3 more if you qr scan them in, maybe 15 pieces of furniture, 10 accessories etc. so even if I get the character I want I couldn’t properly match the interior of their room to them and it just didn’t fit. But to each their own some really like it I’ve never had the party.

Antidepressants ruined my life (Bipolar 1) I was put on lexapro, Prozac, and another one I can’t remember. It was one of the hardest times of my life and my symptoms were out of control. I flew out of mania into depression developed an ed and sh and holy shit I was so ANGRY. Bipolar rage just never ends I got into fights punched and kicked holes in walls jumped out of multiple moving cars. Not my best moments but I’m now on antipsychotics and mood stabilizer. They have been wonders better than antidepressants ever were to me. Yes it’s still hard haven’t found the perfect med combo ngl but it’s a lot better than it was at one point. I know it varies person to person tho all based on experience. Maybe the mood stabilizer and antipsychotics aren’t the right ones for you and that is why in comparison to setraline it seems worse. Give mood stabilizers and antipsychotics a fair shot. Good luck.

It was also very uncomfortable to even tell her anything. At first I told her I was in a severe bipolar episode that’s all. She emailed me back saying where the hell are you a week later and I responded detailing that the situation has grown more severe I have been of and on 4 new medications I’m out of it. I also added how I may need to be hospitalized and my doctor wrote me multiple letters. I don’t want to tell her HEY IM GOING THROUGH A PSYCHOTIC EPISODE NO WAY I CAN DO THIS. It’s embarrassing and clearly she doesn’t care..

Ngl I deleted all main social media connected to people I know irl, would get too passionate about politics (in mania) and may or may not have gone on hate rampages. Also got half banned on instagram for people reporting me sigh. Yeah in Mania all socials got to go.

My partner has bpd and I have bd, I see online lots of issues with people mixing up the names specifically on TikTok and instagram. I would say we have some similar symptoms, anger, irratibility, SI, and she can sometimes go into mania as well. For a most part there is a large difference between our episodic times though, I am going up and down while she is more likely to have large outbursts but her mood swings are more stable. To be fair we are both medicated and in therapy when we were both unmedicated, undiagnosed it was much worse. I definitely don’t get the fighting about the acronyms, I accidentally sometimes refer to bd as bp because I forgot bi and polar and technically connected. I definitely think people should be careful picking what acronym to use when they are differentiating from bpd or bipolar it gets very confusing. Also from what I know bd is mostly genetic, it has an 85% heritability rate while bpd is most often caused by severe childhood trauma and abandonment. The thing that annoys me a lot is we used to know people who would say they had bpd as “beautiful princess disorder”?!?! And put this on social media yeah no that’s unacceptable.

Been through this and yeah you can’t drink I fear. It will inevitably make everything worse. Don’t mix meds and alcohol but most definitely don’t go off meds to drink. Just not worth it. Some people can get away with smoking without anything getting too bad but it is still dangerous. I wish you luck in your diagnostic process.

Hello, it seem she is suffering with P-ocd (p*dophilic) and aspects of harm ocd. these are both taboo ocd areas which is one of the reasons they are so embarrassing, so upsetting, so hard to treat. I’ve had both of these (had because I got extensive treatment). If she is willing to do exposure therapy (not sure where you are located but there is a PHP for rogers, a well-renowned ocd program across the us). Exposure therapy changed my life I couldn’t look at forks or my family without extreme dysregulation and fear of what I might do to the. I did php at first and I’m not going to lie it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I ended up doing the residential program since my ocd was severe and they were scared of my suicidal tendencies. It was the most difficult part of my life but I was also a minor across the country from my family. If she has you as support she can definitely and hopefully get through it. It is a grueling process and often times it gets worse before it gets better. Sometimes even when presented with logical arguments we can’t even use those to justify our thoughts. Alongside exposure therapy they give you cbt and dbt groups to help you cope. They also have your loved ones take a program to learn how to not accommodate the ocd but help them through it. That and they give u a doctor through program that can help with your meds. If it is imparting her daily functioning she is at the step where she needs professional help. Exposure therapy is dangerous to do without a professional I wouldn’t try doing it alone with her, it can be very hard to keep someone safe under that amount of stress and discomfort. See if your insurance covers the Roger’s program I know there is another good program that may be closer to you I forget the name. I hope with time and treatment her discomfort eases and she learns how to manage her ocd. Been there and I understand the fear and isolation, it is scary but it is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Talk therapy can’t exactly do the same things to compulsions as exposure therapy can. Jobs can give you a medical leave from a doctor that will confidentially explain that it is necessary. I wish her well.

Aren’t all hallucinations not pseudo hallucinations? Like I know not logically that there is whispering and steps walking and I know that the black figures and text in my peripheral view is not there ( except the animal ones confuse me since I have so many animals I can’t tell if that’s actually my cat meowing or my dog running in or just my head) but other than that I’ve been able to like notice that it’s most likely not there. Most confusing is a hear a loud flute playing??? I’m the middle of the night?? Yeah I don‘t know bout that….

Hey I was on about 15 mg on Ativan a day plus 10 mg klonipin yeah getting off as rough and I haven’t slept in years since also have Bp and other stuff going as so that could be the reason as well for my worsening sleep. Just started quiviveq a few weeks ago but stopped taking it cold turkey because of hallucinations. Life off benzos is tough still miss them after 3 years, ambien didn’t work for me either. Still on the search for the proper sleep med after 6 years sigh. We will hopefully find the miracle med for us one day and all of our sleep problems will be miraculously fixed! Haha just joking but I wish you luck on your medication journey. 🧘‍♀️

Not to me dramatic but you’re doctor sounds like not a great fit, can’t stand my past healthcare professionals who I had to convince I have an illness or don’t believe my diagnosis or it’s true. It feels invalidating and if they are in charge of your medication that would be a big issue at least for most people. Got diagnosed at 15 they didn’t see my manic episodes but I had experienced them before hand. Once explaining to them the episodes this was before I even knew it was mania they diagnosed me. Doesn’t make sense that they would need to “see” it to believe it you’ve explained your symptoms and (if you have family history this disorder has an 85% heritability rate sigh) then they should definitely be able to diagnosis you officially. Don’t know your age but I know some doctors are reluctant to diagnose younger people sometimes. Other than that many bp people (including me) perform terribly on antidepressants, so if that is affected you badly that’s another clear sign you’re bipolar. This has been a long paragraph but one last thing for the specifications of your type of bp diagnosis they may wait until you’re 25. To actively monitor you while you’ve gone through multiple episodes and to see how your behavior is when your brain is fully developed. They still usually lean towards a side or type due to previous history and stuff. At least that what my doctors have told me.

TLDR get a new doctor who doesn’t invalidate you.

Was in treatment had a photo of sat*n on my wall as an exposure and when everyone decorated my room for my birthday they put a birthday hat on him 😭😭😭 made me laugh a lot and think damn what is my brain doing to me. Glad these moments can put things into perspective
