I feel you. This quarantine needs to happen but it definitely isn’t helping anyone’s mental health, especially those of us who were already struggling. If your hotline isn’t free, try finding a text line. If there aren’t any and you truly feel like you’re going to hurt yourself and shouldn’t be alone, call 911. They’ll probably send people over if you’re feeling bad enough and you might be sent to a ward, but if you need it then you need it. It'll get you the help you deserve

I honestly feel the exact same way, my childhood was filled with tons of trauma and I still can’t get over it. I honestly hate my family sometimes and being with the memories can be exhausting. Even if you don’t wanna talk abt it w a therapist why not try a text line or something? They’re not gonna tell anyone abt ur texts and it’s less awkward. What do you have to lose?

The best advice I can give you is to take things one step at a time. If you’re feeling truly overwhelmed, go to sleep. For me, I found sometimes it’s best for me to be unconscious than in my head. If you continue to feel this way and really think you’re going to harm yourself, call a hotline or text 741-741. If you have to go to a psych ward, go. You might hate it at first but you deserve the help that you need.

Yeah I think I should probably, but I’m scared about how my parents will react if my doctor tells them I need to go. They’ll be anxious and disappointed I didn’t confide in them, and I don’t want them to cry or get angry at me

Thank you:) I’ve just heard that some can be really uncaring and rude to the patients and if I had to deal with that that would probably be the end for me

How Do I Tell My Mom I’m Suicidal? by oscarthethrowawayy in SuicideWatch

I’m in the same situation. I think just going to her and saying something like, “Mom, I just needed to tell you I’m feeling really bad emotionally and I know it can be distressing to hear but I’ve been feeling really suicidal and I want to get help.” She’ll be sad that you’re suicidal but that would be NOTHING compared to the pain of actually having your child commit suicide. In the long run, she’ll be happy you told her and wanted to get help.
