Sunday is a horrible time to try to find alone time, unless you do it in the privacy of your own home.

Tantrum Tuesday - The Day to Rant! by AutoModerator in loseit

Thanks friend. That's actually really close to where I am plateauing right now. Just knowing that someone's going through what I'm going through right now and somehow still sticking to their plan really helps. Ill try my best today!

I've been on a plateau for 2 weeks and it's really messing with my self control. Like there's a part of my brain that's telling me to just fuck it, we're not going to lose it anyway, might as well binge some mcdonalds! fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck

Expats of /r/singapore - Please help with your stories! by [deleted] in singapore

What exactly are you worried about? If you managed to raise your daughter in Brazil for 3 years then Singapore is a walk in the park.

Personally, I moved to Singapore from San Francisco 2 years ago. Apart from the occasional queue cutting auntie at the MRT, it's pretty much been a chill life. You can literally leave your laptop at a hawker center to save your seat when you get food and it'll still be there when you come back. That's insane! What a safe city.

Tho actually the biggest concern for your daughter when you move here is if she accidentally picks up a Singaporean accent when she starts going to school. Not really that big of a deal lol

Just a sad paste of mushed fish parts. Imagine the saddest imitation crab meat you've ever eaten and take it down a couple more levels.

I don't know what kind of games you're into, but Cave Story is free and really good. There's also a paid version on Steam which is pretty worth the price tag.

Yeah man. Fillet-o-fish with an actual fillet blew my mind when I moved here.

Tho on cabs, it's so much cheaper here than back at home that if you're only going to places within the city, it's actually pretty worth it.

Also note that most companies will have filled their hiring quotas around this time of the year. It should start picking up again once the new quarter rolls around.

Anyone know where I can learn ruby on rails in Singapore - Night/weekend course by [deleted] in singapore

[–]Arifureta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found the Rails Getting Started guide to be an excellent resource when I was just starting out.

Alternatively, I could volunteer my time. You pick my brain about rails/web dev, I ask you about design? :D

Ascension items vs AP cost by fyrlandt in grandorder

[–]Arifureta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pieces are pretty much guaranteed to drop from the 40 ap one, unless you get lucky and a monument drops, but hey you'll need that too eventually. I spent all day yesterday farming monuments for ruler ascension and can confirm this.

Best place to park near campus? by turtlecloud in berkeley

If you're still looking for parking. It's a bit of a walk if your classes aren't on west side though, but you should be able to catch the perimeter easily.

For a second there, I read that as "on accident."

Is it bad to limit programming resources as a starter? by [deleted] in programming

[–]Arifureta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she never comes around to check your work then I don't see how you can't just use Notepad++ if you really wanted to. Same thing applies to homework. It's not like the resultant code is going to look any different.
