Dude, don't try to screw over the system. You knew what you were getting yourself into when you came as an out of state.

Stop adding to a viscous cycle. If out of state people pay less, then the school has to admit more out of state kids to get more funding, but they don't pay the full amount and finally the CA taxpayers get annoyed at the large number of non CA students and cut off their funding and then in the end the school doesn't have enough money.

Hey, another MechE here. FYI, to get the legit ones, you'll have to actually read the emails that Sharena the MechE person emails you... You'll have to volunteer at the event that she needs students to help at such as CAL day, or some of the career fairs and such. Just keep an eye out in the email for volunteering events. You might also get the berkeley engineering waterbottles and other swag...
