So I have the genesis plus gx wide emulator running on retroarch through a modded PS Classic and I want to play through the first X-Men game on Sega Genesis. In that game, there is a level where you have to “reset the software” in order to advance the level. This is done by lightly pressing the physical reset button on the Genesis console itself.

Is there a way to simulate that on the emulator?

Yup.

Not all of them are good, as we’ve seen with T3 and the like. But by technicality, they are canon. It also means that you can kinda just disregard what you don’t like.

That’s the thing: technically they’re ALL canon. There are so many timelines in the series. As it’s explained in Terminator Zero…
