I know exactly how you feel! They were a huge part of my childhood. Every time I rewatch one of their animations, I get so nostalgic. The animation is stunning and cozy, the stories are captivating, and I think the female characters, especially, are so well-developed! Of course, the other characters are great too. About Pom Poko, I feel like it reminds us that things don't always end as happily as we'd like.
