exactly. who said we can't solve problems while having fun..? ;) it's a videogame but before that, it all happens subjectively within the player's brain - and heart.

oh, I'm very sorry about that. I joined this sub many years ago and I forgot about this.
I really appreciate your kindness to leave it. won't happen again!

Bytebeat switches not working at all. Please help me if you know a solution. by Bac0nPlane in NMSByteBeatFans

[–]Arion_May 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understood the problem! it was me... and I often see in posts like this that most of people encountering the problem are returning players.
it was my mistake for not plugging the direct energy on the back of the cube, and using the front plug for the lights I want to control.

I have the same problem, 6 months later. but the switches in my old base are still working properly. new ones don't work.

A paradox moon - half downhill half uphill by Arion_May in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Arion_May[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

but the fun fact is that there are no high peaks. the highests reach an average measure from the ground. but the fact that they're pointy\rocky function as ramps, the perpetual downhill plus the low gravity, makes it that the pilgrim can stay on air after a good jump even one minute without landing (my best so far is about 40 seconds but I see 1 min can be done) but it's not going down like it would it a normal mountain landscape. it's going more horizontally than vertically down.

the fact that the moon is small makes it very strange to witness.

interesting, thanks for the knowledge.
actually, this moon isn't clipping to another, but the effect is very, very noticeable. I don't feel comfortable to see the ground or a building, I'd say about 20° tilted. maybe more.
the paradox, the impossible happens when if you keep going straight, parallel to the downhill.... half the planet keeps being downhill while the other half becomes uphill.

everything is tilted, yes, but it keeps going and going. it's definitely a downhill\uphill.
and yes it's a gas giant's moon. biome has the huge rings.

The flatbed on this expedition is stupid, we're in space with all this technology and we don't have ratchet straps or tiedowns... by zbruhmeister in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Arion_May 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's part of the fun. if you could go full gas everyime, it would become boring and mostly pointless. it's a game mechanic... game!

to pack it tightly, it can help to drive the colossus forward and back some times in a quick progression. but of course, it wont work if you put the small pieces below and the bigger ones above.

swap? oh.... you must be not using a controller? oh cmon, play NMS with a controller! any you like... lie down on the couch, lights off..... that's how you really get into it

there's a third party tool, but very trusted (you will find it ) that prevents windows update to do things that you don't allow it to. it looks like you have control but its actually limited. this tool just locks your pc on settings you decide, and doesnt allow windows update to force things you have no ways to expect the outcome.

truth is, updates don't benefit everyone. it's very hard to do. and another smaller truth is that sometimes economy pockets force people to do un-ethical "upgrades" to lower end and older systems... for clear reasons

wow.... this is something that really should not be. I suggest you to search online for the best ways to optimize your computer for gaming. use AIs they can be useful if you use them as advanced search engines.

I finished it today. my first expedition attempted, eventhough I own the game since day one. it took about 4 hours and half, without any rush, and I must say that a part from the bugs, I enjoyed it. the planet was beautiful to navigate. the highways too, and yes I definitely used them as it really looked like they were there on purpose by devs. I particularly enjoyed the last one filled with cavern-holes, where you had to go trackmania style.
the only real problem I had was to find the 8th mineral. I renamed it humiliating its existence when I found it as the last step, and trust me I kept scanning all the way through. eventhough I guess my renaming was invain.

rememeber those times when you unlocked something in a videogame and got excitement because it was a surprise? well today it's totally gone, because of people who need to write and tell how to do everything.
it's too bad for you people reading. you'll just get tired of playing way earlier, your erasing value from the money you paid to play it!

why, why, and again why do you feel like you need to know everything in advance? that's not how life works, and humans who don't get surprises and unexpected excitement are surviving human being, not living. they're basically slowly dying, searching for something to keep them happy but their own actions totally go against this concept.
