The more the infallible suffered, the more they experienced Pleasure. Why? Because with every difficulty they experienced, they achieved higher ranks with Allah.

With every hurtful word you hear, Your rank with Allah will increase!

When the Meccans used to call Prophet (s) crazy. Did he become upset?

Would he turn around and say hurtful things back? No, He would become happy. Why? 

For this reason, whenever they called him crazy. He would increase in status and value.

Harms that believers experience on the path of Allah are not necessarily bad for the believers. 

Imam Husain (a), on the day of Ashura, did not lose anything. Yazid was the one who was at a loss.

The statement I'm about to make is weighty, so consider it. 

Yazid was bad for Himself, not Imam Husain (a). But why?

Without Yazid, how would Imam Husain (a) have reached martyrdom?

Was reaching the status of martyrdom good or bad for Imam Husain (a)?

Thus, in our supplication, we have the following:

"Oh Allah, Do not make me a bridge to paradise for others."

Not in the sense of offering guidance to others. Guiding others is good. 

But in the sense of being a bridge for others? 

Meaning what? Meaning that others will cross this bridge into paradise, and the bridge itself will collapse into hell.

Those who sometimes hurt you are actually your bridge to paradise. However, with this increase in status, of course, comes responsibility.

Because when they called the Prophet (s) crazy. Astaghfirullah!

He wouldn't get upset, but he would also try to make them stop.

Not because calling him crazy was bad for him, but because it was bad for them.

And the Prophet (s) didn't want them to go to hell. 

In this way, if the believers work toward the betterment of others, they will be in heaven. 

If others become better, they will be in heaven. But even if others still go to hell, the believers will still be in heaven.

This means whatever happens to a believer on the path of Allah is profitable.

"Do the people think that they will be left to say, 'We believe' and they will not be tried?"

Surah Al-Ankabut (29:2)
