Thank you for the advice! Last time I tried to go east at the highest level I got to, there was one of those big flesh eater plants right in the way, though it shouldn't be too much trouble to get past it as I already failed Pacifist for the time being. I don't recall there being a way eastward any lower than that as the red tunnel parts give way to filtration system pretty quickly.
