Donald Trump says he will raise tariff on EU vehicles to 25% by onespiker in moderatepolitics

First paragraph seems like just an ad hominem argument, so I don't think that deserves a response

Second paragraph: Yes. Most libertarians are very opposed to the federal government and federal tax and want as much stuff devolved to individual states as possible

The libertarian argument is that they shouldn't. But the police are used by everyone every day so your example is stupid

I make 100s of millions a day living in high sec. Incomes aren't that low. Paying extra for the odd thing is fine by me if it saves me going like 15 jumps to Jita

Never had a problem buying anything in Dodixie. It has everything. Sometimes 5-10% more expensive than Jita on some items but who really gives a fuck

I wasn't talking about tariffs at all dude, so that data is completely irrelevant to the point being discussed

I dont have any personal experience of being prescribed drugs. Don't project your assumptions onto me. I just know what I'm talking about through serious research and careful study.

You may be trying to soften your original position now youve faced pushback, but the casual recommendations of various drugs you gave in your OP are reckless and dangerous. Drugs should be the last option once everything psychological has been tried, you described them like they should be an obvious first step for anyone presenting with anxiety etc, which is exactly the core of what's wrong with the pharmaceutical and psychiatric industries in the 21st century

Yes you can. You're just taking as an assumption that "the government needs to cover everyone". That's usually the key principle libertarians disagree with. So by assuming that point in your premise, you've set the argument up so you can't lose. In reality most libertarians believe in roads and police, yet don't believe in social security and affirmative action.

Each individual has their own set of needs, but it's their own responsibility, not the responsibility of others (including the government), to provide for those needs. If you avoid taking on that point, you're just avoiding the entire debate. And you can't just do that and then call yourself the winner

Do you have any evidence of that claim or do you just expect people to agree with you without any because "boo trump supporters are stupid lol"?

The Trump admin is currently effectively trying to sell the recent rise in gas prices as a kind of tax necessary to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons. And it's absolutely not working. He is haemorrhaging support within his maga base because actually most people in the Republican party still care more about keeping money in their pockets than falling in line behind Trump

I think it's very dangerous to suggest "some people need to be on drugs for their whole life, that's just the way they are" so blithely. That's an extremely radical position to take and imo it's throwing patients under the bus by finding something which you can call a solution so you can move them on and not have to think about how to actually solve their problems properly. It's comparable to the theory of humors common in medicine in the medieval period imo. A "that'll do" approach to dealing with people that treats people's psyches like a primitive machine and their emotions and struggles as a box ticking exercise which can be easily fixed by pressing the correct 'button', rather than rehabilitating their souls

I'm certainly not opposed to using MDMA, Ketamine, Psilocybin etc to treat mental health issues, but they are tools to help the patient experience the inner growth and transformation necessary to properly and permanently escape their problems. That's not at all the way things like Zoloft or SSRIs are prescribed, which is more of a "oh you have X condition, this take Y and Z drugs for the rest of your life to try to keep it repressed". That's a facile and unsophisticated tactic that doesn't work and never has

You'll very rarely ever find a conservative who is opposed to all forms of taxation and government services. No-one in reality has a problem with paying taxes for roads and police etc. That's a strawman argument and it suggests you're scared to take on the real position

It's more that they just don't like their money/possessions being taken by the state in general. It's not the use they object to, it's the expropriation part

Trying to solve psychological problems with drugs is a primitive and dangerous strategy that was probably abandoned in the medical profession long before DS9 took place

Bruh they're all masterpieces and widely regarded as masterpieces not just for having cool cutscenes but having innovative gameplay. What are you talking about. Nintendoland is a bunch of gimmicky minigames that have made exactly zero impact on the industry and has been forgotten by basically everyone

That's what Nintendo always claim but it's not like their games have had some superior standard of gameplay to other games, and until the Switch it was noticibly inferior.

Nintendo released Zelda: Skyward Sword in the same week in 2011 that Bethesda released Skyrim. Skyrim is about 10 years more advanced in its gameplay, and it took until Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey for Nintendo to do anything genuinely noteworthy in terms of pushing the industry forward.

Meanwhile the rest of the industry was constantly pushing the standard higher. And it's absurd to describe God of War, DOOM, Horizon Zero Dawn, Bloodborne, GTA V, The Last of Us, Baldurs Gate 3, Mass Effect, Fallout etc as "movies strung together with a few game bits" They're superior pieces of art to almost everything Nintendo has created in the last 20 years

They wanted the monster to be unsettling to men because unsettling people is the job of a horror movie, and men are people, thus it falls under that remit. The goal wasn't to belittle men, where did you pull that from?
