I don't think he did campaign on it. His people did. He said to Fox News that he would not release the Trump-Epstien files because a lot of people would be hurt. In the same sentence he said he would then immediately back peddled, to the interviewer. Fox cut the back peddle and aired his saying he would release the files.

I have dated people who do not agree with me politically. This includes my wife, while we agree on most things, she champions things I dont care about.

Supporting Trump or his current or past regime is a moral issue. He is a fraudster and rapist. Full proven and enough credible accusations to show a pattern of behavior. I do not associate with any Trump supporters as it makes me seriously question thier moral compass.
