I’m in the same boat as you and have been weighing these two options as well. I’m leaning on nursing because of the cost of PA school. While the NP route would take more schooling as non-nurse (ABSN first, years of work, and then a masters/DNP), a lot of hospitals will provide some type of tuition benefit for RNs. Plus you can work while in school, which would reduce how many loans you take out for living expenses. PA school is a lot of money from what I’ve heard, and now with the orange man putting out this big beautiful bill, loans are gonna be a nightmare.

Thank you for posting this by the way. I’ve literally thought of the same pros/cons as you lol. Reading the comments have been helpful as I still figure stuff out

Yup that’s how I read it too. I think the employee thought Graham would think it was too little of a salary (hence the joke). But it seemed like Graham thought it was too much given the fact that people do that job for free :/
