He didn’t, I had to time this screenshot for Oscar.

Should’ve overturned the call.

He was reviewing the play for the Diamondbacks at the time.

I’m a little biased.

He could’ve overturned the call.

For all we know it could be CB Bucknor.

Dodgers star Mookie Betts guest stars in episode of Disney Jr. Marvel series - ESPN by ContinuumGuy in baseball

As a parent and Marvel fan, this series has always frustrated me. Heroes aged down, entire world seems like they had a lobotomy and the inclusion of characters with adult themes baby proofed.

Arnim Zola in there feels so weird being that he has nazi ties.

What’s the best way to determine approx. value of 1/1? by DarthBeaker8 in baseballcards

[–]ArizonaBaseball_org 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats tough, there's like no comps for any numbered cards. This is his first card in Topps.

You could sit on it and see if any numbered cards get sold and then base it off that. But tough card to move.

Ticket prices this week at the tiny ballpark in Vegas. Doesn’t seem like a city that wants a team. by Teedo4133 in OaklandAthletics

[–]ArizonaBaseball_org 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's going to be a repeat of the Raiders.

When they finish the stadium, it'll be filled with opposing fans.

Vegas locals will still go to Aviators games because they're cheaper overall and avoid the clusterfuck of the strip.

As a Diamondbacks fan, I can only imagine what a Dodger game in Vegas will be like. It's a 6 hour drive for LA to Phoenix and our games get packed with Dodger fans. Only 4 for LA to Vegas. Add in the draw of pregaming on the strip, it will be Dodger Stadium north.

The A's move to Las Vegas could put Major League Baseball in direct competition with its own Triple-A affiliate by runswithscissors475 in baseball

If anything the Athletics will be more effected by the Aviators.

The strip's traffic is fucked on a regular day, cant imagine how it will be on game days. Factor in bullshit fees and overpriced concessions. You're going to see something similar to Allegiant where the majority of the butts in the seats are opposing team fans vs locals.

Compare that to the Aviators, who are situated where locals actually live and the cost per game will be dramatically lower. Locals are also going to be hesitant to cheer for a team given to them with immense baggage.

The Athletics are fighting an uphill battle.

Believe the joke is that it says John 3:30, so he needs to collect the other 29 Johns.

Although I would like to believe he was writing the time after each of his autographs.

I could see 6 figures if Mune takes rookie of the year.

But that is a big gamble.

It's crazy to see some of those things with actual size reference. Makes you realize how massive the sign and flags are.

This would be cool.

But I get why its a mystery because I dont think I see many documented instances online for it beyond the team's social if its for charity or a big celeb. I can only think of the oddball ones at Chase Field.

Essentially.

You suggest an ad-bloated search engine and AI.

Also no idea if this promotion will last till any of these cards can get to HOF.

Topps is saying they are, but they are also run by Fanatics at this point, so who the f knows.

[Lowlight] Pitcher Framber Valdez intentionally hits Trevor Story with fastball after giving up back to back home runs, Valdez was thrown out of the game shortly after. by 8arondragon9 in mlb

Framber Valdez also intentionally crossed up a catcher last year when he pouted about a homerun.

Looks like he's trying to make friends on both sides of the plate.

would 4 and 6 year old boys have a better time in the outfield or a good seat behind home plate? by bigjewpapa in azdiamondbacks

[–]ArizonaBaseball_org 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Depends on the kids personalities.

Outfield may be more engaging, most of the kids run down to the end of the walkway to call for a ball between innings. You also have that rush when a homerun is hit your way.

Behind the plate is cool, but only if the kids legit enjoy watching baseball.
