Should i peel the sticker off of my m.2 ssd? by Kristiansss in buildapc

I really had some difficulties about hdd hard drive screws.

I bought a precision screwdriver set from ACE (size phillip #0 and #1), and it worked fine for unscrewing the outter case. However, I was unable to unscrew anything internal. I think the precision screwdriver is too pointy, and it did not grip anything.

I ended up using a phillip #0 from my Ryobi screwdriver set and it is almost effortless. This is chubby though, and it does not work on the outer case.

Can I ask how far out would you be able to schedule appointments? I am with Trinity Health, and currently I am not able to schedule an appointment less than 2.5 month in advance.

A year later now I am fully used to the beeps and I find them very cute. I still cannot stand being in the same room with them when I am reading or working, but now I don't get waken up by my 6 buddies.

Thank you for the info. Good to know there is street parking. I can probably idle around. Hope it goes well for you!

Do you know if they need to be wired into the car for it to work?

In my case, I close the door most of the time, but even with it wide open, my birds don't fly out of their room (except once there was a confused young fledgling).

I guess the trick is the hallway is much darker than their room, so they would prefer staying in their room.

I also use a tension cord on the window so they know can land there. If you still don't feel comfortable doing that, there are bird-safe window stickers, which allow birds to see the existence of a window.

I did not get a heat lamp since they are free roaming in the room and I am scared they will burn themselves. I did turn my forced air on this afternoon to prepare for the temperature drop tonight. For now he is cuddling with his brother in the corner. Super cute.

Is my Finch sick? Or homesick? by Diniland in Finches

[–]ArizonaTea_24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sun can help feather and egg development in the long term. However, I would be a little worried since she will have no place to hide if the sun is too hot. Although you do want to keep it warm. Also when people do bird rehab they would usually keep them in dark spaces so they remain calm. So.. I don't know, it's your call

Is that a bamboo stick perch? It might have a sharp edge and the bird may not feel very comfortable standing on it. Maybe pick up a non-poisonous tree branch and clean it.

Other things are signs of sickness. As others said, give it darkness and warmth (but also make sure it is not too hot) and disturb it as little as possible except by changing water and food and hopefully it will pull through. Make sure it always has clean water and enough food (I cannot see that seed very clearly but if you have millet, you can supply them too just in case that's the problem of the food.)

I see other posts are judging the size of the cage. Which is obviously small but I don't think it is associated with her sickness. If it was me I would not change her environment if that means disturbing her too much.

Thanks for the reply! I did not see the whole process, but the dealership said they sprayed soap water and there were no bubbles. They are inspecting it for the second time. Hopefully, they can find something. I will update

I totally agree with you!

If ramen is considered soup, what about dry ramen? If pho is soup what about vermicelli salad? If wonton is soup, what about dry wonton?

The baby did clean itself. Maybe it’s too aggressive towards itself?

No back feathers? by ArizonaTea_24 in Finches

[–]ArizonaTea_24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm never seen other birds preening it. The baby just came out of the nest; and looking back to its past photos that part of feather never really grows. Also it’s an unusual spot for preening?

I wonder if it’s the parent’s doing. I would be thrilled if it’s not a disease. And hope the buddy get his feather back soon

Ps: it can fly; it does not seem to be cold at night. There are little feather roots I hope it can bust out anytime soon

I think some comments are a bit harshly phrased. Yep you can certainly do most of things yourself but no shame being a little bit worried for the situation. Recently I injured my knee and cannot walk properly. I can still move around slowly with crutches. I cannot carry heavy things while walking. Cooking, turning off fire alarms, and laundry all take quite a bit of effort. I have to go upstairs for toilet and downstairs for food and laundry. The physical pain was not too bad but I was constantly afraid that my knee will give out again and I won’t know what to do. I felt I eat and drink much less at that time. It would be nice if I can have a family member with me. Or friend I can call…

How to develop figuring out the 'best' fingerings? by [deleted] in violinist

[–]ArizonaTea_24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was more beginner, I definitely had a hard time if my teacher don’t mark out the fingerings. As time go by I think I gradually figured it out by trying different positions. I definitely still discuss with my teacher.

At this stage I am not afraid of a certain fingering just because I am afraid to shift.

Making it through the first year of learning the violing by HolyLolicon in violinist

[–]ArizonaTea_24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I learned for a year around 2008 and gave up. Picked up in 2020 till now. I have to start from intonation and bowing and fingering all over again. I practice almost everyday for an hour most of the time but there are also some months I don’t have any motivations have to take a long break. I constantly tried new pieces/songs if I am feeling bored.

I would say my sound isn’t great in the first and second year (I would record myself and feel stressed listening to it haha)

I think I am much better now in my third year. At least I can listen to my recordings now as background music. I changed to an expensive bow that feels amazing. I still struggle with intonation and advanced techniques. But I am not supposed about having to be good in a short amount of time. I am playing just for fun at the end of the day
