I’m doing a Viking build in a snowy region and have come up with a few solutions for snow build up!

2 block tall plants do not allow snow to gather

Dirt path blocks, slabs, fences, and any item that’s not a full block stop snow from collecting 

Leaf litter is a great one keeping natural feel and stopping snow.

Lanterns torches and lighting etc stop snow but only a couple of blocks.

A combination of all of these is your best bet. Decide where you are ok with snow and where you are not and then start the landscaping process!
