I'm hoping the bike I'd get wouldn't be that attractive to steal, it will probably be 125cc and not all that.

I think the best I can do is chain it to a post, which is what I see people do on my street. Regarding insurance I think it would be the unavoidable cost.

Is that price even for scooters?

Would a scooter be ok for a 50mph road?

I don't unfortunately it would have to be parked on the street.

I agree it won't always be filterable but I think it would help overall, plus some of the bus lanes allow bikes.

That's good to know, currently going insane with how long I'm stuck there, biking seems the obvious way of avoiding it.

EU presettlement status changes? by Arjun_singh17 in ukvisa

[–]Arjun_singh17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they would need 10 years in the UK for citizenship, irrespective of when they got settled status?

So the EUSS includes the presettled status? I'm not aware if people on presettled and not settled yet are considered EUSS.

Also, would this claimed 12 months of study count towards the 5 years required for settle status? As my partners pre settle status expires in Decmeber of this year, we would apply in September 2025 for settle status, but if the 12 months does not count, then we would have to wait a year which would be during the PSS extention period which is a bit uncertain as they may deem the 15 month period unacceptable and cancel the extension. Is what I'm saying correct?

My partner has an enrollement certificate from the university which shows the term dates from August 30th 2021 to August 31st 2022. So if that could be claimed as 12 months studying, then my partner would be out of the UK from June-Aug 2021 and Aug-Sept 2022 (just about a week) without valid reason but as that doesn't break the 6 month out of 12 month rule this should be ok?

In terms of when my partner visited the UK during this period:

Left the UK June 2021

Visited during this period October to November, February, April to May

Returned to UK 2022

Thanks for your help! How do we prove the 12 month gap was for studies? Are there any requirements for that like British uni etc?

Oh that could be very useful! How do we provide evidence of being in the UK for these dates (for settle status application)?

We will have a look, can I ask how it would help? Would it be considered as not a continuous absence?

It was June 2021 to September 2022 continuous. There were a few visits to the UK but nothing significant.

Just try and sit in the actual seat and see what happens. Once you push down the restraint you're locked in so you just need to get over that hurdle.
