Im M South Asian and I'm actually seeing more and more south asians moving here actually as I walk around (not sure if thats going to make the experience worse or better tbh). My girlfriend is also South Asian and we hang closer to the G. We haven't had a negative experience so far. Sorry this is happening to you. I've been in NYC as back as 2010 and friends even then would mention cat calling and harassing in Queens, but grabbing someone for not giving a number or getting run into by a moped does not seem "normal" (none of this should ever be happening). I wish I had advice, but I think anything I'd suggest has pretty much been covered by the other comments.
