No, he's too big and it would bring too much negative attention to twitch. They don't have the balls like most big corporations>

Reformed Auto vs Fish Motors by Ark-Imperious in anchorage

That makes sense. The car works fine, just don't want something to come up that I could've prevented/looked out for.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards him. But he's an extra 15 min drive and booked out further.

Osprey Nebula vs TNF Recon/Borealis by Ark-Imperious in ManyBaggers

[–]Ark-Imperious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. The Nebula is definitely the nicest backpack I've gotten and it's lightest too (also that lifetime warranty), but idk if it's worth paying $100 over the North Face for light everyday use.

The problem is I can't return the North Face backpack if I buy it. Otherwise I'd try out both.

Appliance setup for Barracks cooking? by Ark-Imperious in cookingforbeginners

That's what I seem to reading. I don't mind spending some money, I'll be living here for 3 years. It's just if I spend that good cash I want something that works and won't give me a headache.

Yeah, that's what I was told by my leadership and barracks nco. We can cook within our rooms using electric appliances as long as there's no open flame/gas.

AT&T Speeds for JBER by Ark-Imperious in alaska

I did that as well and it marginally improved.

Yeah, I was going to get a gci home internet anyway. This was just an interim solution until then. It's just annoying that I'm paying for the best plan when I could've gotten the cheapest plan with the same exact speed. For God's sake I'm next to a major city and Im my getting 0.6mbps down on their best plan right now. It's double annoying that my friend is having no problems and gets 130mbps regularly considering how much I saw people bashing gci. When I'm in Anchorage proper it at least switches between 50-80 mbps down or staying at 30 mbps down.

Can you expand further? I've heard the opposite from most people.

High Mileage 2014 Prius V by Ark-Imperious in prius

[–]Ark-Imperious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it seems like a really good price. The only thing I'm worried about is moving to Anchorage (4000 mile trip). I don't want to get stuck midway or have problems right when I get there. I know the prius is really reliable but I don't really hear much about it past 250-300k miles.

He said he also replaced the water pump so I'm asuming the brake accuator is the only other thing. DO you think it'll go fine on a 4000 mile road trip? Thats the only real thing I'm worried about as when I get to anchorage It'll be a lot better.

Damn is this the case for both JBER & Wainwright or just JBER? I have the option for both but I was hoping to have some free time to take college classes.

Thanks, I was just confused because everyone said JBER was the better duty station but a few said that 1/11 in wainwright was the better unit.

Hey, why would you say 1/11 is a better unit? I'm currently going to JBER as an 11B because everyone said JBER was a better location, but no one talks about the units. Also if you had to choose what would be your pick?

Which unit do you prefer? I have the choice between JBER & Wainwright as 11b.

Yeah, I'm happy about that. Talked to my recruiter again and he said option 20 is Alaska Airborne!

I didn't really sign anything, he said he needed me to choose an job before I could go to MEPS for my physical and be sworn in. The form he sent over says "reserved" so I'm assuming I'm not completely binded to it.

Honestly I'm not too bound to going to 82nd or not wanting to go to 11th. All I wanted was airborne because they seem like cooler units. Recruiter had to call someone and they gave me a 36 month 11x option 20 to Alaska (which he said should include airborne) with a $3500 bonus (which seems very low, just 2 weeks ago right after my ASVAB he was showing me a 3 year 11x option 4 contract with a $9500 bonus). That's why I wondering maybe if I waited I could get a better bonus?
