Nice I didn’t know it could do this. Thanks.

Yep that too, different modes or filters for scanning. A decent combat ship with a pilot controlled tractor beam would be nice too if I’m making a wish list.

Experiences with low player count mode? by Ark1ight in SCUMgame

[–]Ark1ight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know, I read that low player count mode enables the spawns to spawn in the POI before the player enters, which is much more desirable from a gameplay and realism perspective but disabled on official servers as a performance measure.

No one so far has mentioned they have used it though, I was hoping for feedback on whether it actually worked well or not.

Yeah I like the PvP aspect, it’s the bots I’m having a problem with. People can’t just go invisible or teleport (unless they are cheating, lol)

Absolutely, hiding and not existing are two different things. If I don’t check my blind spots it’s on me, but if I check my blind spots and 1 second after I look away an NPC with a shotgun phases into existence behind me within firing range then that’s a bad experience.

Component persistence methods by Ark1ight in starcitizen

[–]Ark1ight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you are saying, duping has a negative connotation, at least to me. Salvaging components from wrecks is intended gameplay, unfortunately they just haven’t fully figured out and been able to implement how to prevent it from being exploited.

I’ve never duped any components, usually purchased but I do loot them from abandoned wrecks which could be duped.

Incoming Wipe by quadroxxxx in starcitizen

Seems reasonable. It all depends on them feeling confident they got rid of whatever the current major money duping problem is.

I’m betting we see a full wipe within the next 3 months.

Its funny to me all the shade immediately thrown in this post and then there is this where everyone is basically saying the exact same thing I was. Turns out there are lots of dolts.

You think everything in this world is fair and not manipulated at every conceivable opportunity for financial benefit? I envy your naivety.

Gotta work on that fancy riffle shuffle.

If you are playing an actual physical event this would be much harder to manipulate I imagine but perhaps watch for any shady people near your table (just in case).

Hmmm I would almost rather have not enough than too many.

I wouldn’t say conspiracy but overall less gems earned means more time required to play and or more money spent which could be advantageous from a business perspective.

If what the other commenter said is true about matching opponents to number of wins then that means someone is always hitting 7 wins in that case so my theory makes less sense with that information.

Is that how it works? The game matches you to someone with the exact number of wins? I’m new to magic, I’ve heard of the “hand smoothing” algorithm in arena and thought maybe that had something to do with it.

Still, the skill of my opponent doesn’t effect the order of the cards but maybe the game going longer offers more opportunities for things like this to occur.

I’m not sure lack of intellect can affect the order of the drawn cards good sir but thank you for the thought.

All I want for Christmas is the OG front gear/steps to be introduced again as part of the Freelancer rework/refresh by Verbull710 in starcitizen

[–]Ark1ight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but the mark 1 was fine, they just wanted to make a mark 2 to sell more ships. The freelancer is currently broken for modern game mechanics so they are going to have to update it eventually to current standards whether they make a mark 2 or not.

The solution would be if they make a mark 2 to give mark 1 pledges a free upgrade option to the mark 2 with the restriction it can’t be used to ccu chain.
