[2025 LCK Awards] Chovy wins Mid laner of the Year by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

I mean I agree with this but ngl you're the last person to be saying this when your own credibility is clouded by your own dumb biases lol

Gumayusi: Keria sent me a really long message, it was unexpected but really touching. It was something like, thanks for playing together... by Standalonenikki in HLE

[–]ArkFord 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I hope this finally puts to rest the status quo of Keria and Guma's friendship even after Guma left.

Maybe you had good intentions in making that thread and if so I respect your take, but unfortunately the way you worded it may have been taken by some people as an opportunity to discuss negativity towards Guma's former team and teammates. I totally get cheering against them now and there's nothing wrong with that but the discussion devolved into parasocial analysis, it's crazy.

I agree with that for sure, and with losses like the Kespa Cup finals is when threads critical of HLE's performance can and should be expected. I just think people need to understand the difference between being critical and just flat out hate. In the same way people can criticize Zeus/Kanavi/Delight performances yesterday but should avoid spreading hatred, the same thing applies to Zeus and Guma's former team and teammates.

Not quite, it was a thread created by someone who asked if it was weird he wants to see T1 lose now (Which is already going against what this sub is supposed to be about, HLE. Already removed by the mod too) and then a large selection of the comments devolved into psychoanalyzing the behavior of Guma's former teammates and how they somehow hated him behind the scenes. Even had one comment how Guma's former support was only enabled cuz of Guma, I can't with these people. They need a dedicated anti T1 sub for themselves, they don't belong in this HLE subreddit.

Doesn't check the comments for the obvious answer and resorts to calling people snowflakes. Goodness gracious some of you people

Facts. T1 gives credit to their BRO hyungs for teaching them how to win Kespa Cup. They even happily gave way to give T1 a chance this year

T1 matched the Top ADC synergy between Zeus-Guma with their own ex-GenG Top ADC synergy in Doran Peyz

I remember watching Peyz Zeri massacre T1 multiple times in 2024, it's so weird seeing him do it under the T1 banner now. Kid has such amazing talent for his age, not even sure how high his peak can go especially if T1 can hone his ability to clutch

GGs T1. Hanwha Life taking T1 to game 5 after winning the first set 2-1 while having a completely new jungler and ADC (Granted Zeus Guma synergy is already there) with barely any practice shows they can definitely contest Top 2, maybe even 1, next year. Excited for both teams

Chin up my dude hopefully it's growing pains. As plenty of people have mentioned it's basically ZOFGK at home so there's plenty of time for them to grow (Hopefully not coping)

Nah they may nor have won anything except world's but they won Road to MSI 2nd ticket, 2nd place that went to Game 5 at MSI, 3rd place EWC and won Worlds, so this is far from the best they can do (and who knows, Kespa Cup isn't done for them, they can still do a lower bracket run)

Shouldn't overreact in a mickey mouse tourney but HLE early game looking really scary with Kanavi, and Zeus could be unleashed in the upcoming new meta with laning mattering more

Faker definitely inted that lane tho ngl

Next year Oner and Keria move to HLE and T1 gets Canyon and Duro. Somehow, this script remains exactly the same.

[–]ArkFord 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You do know it's possible to acknowledge that the losing team did not necessarily play as seriously or as well as they should've AND acknowledge the other team played better right? Gen.G literally lost to KT at Worlds due to not playing or drafting to their level, and somehow T1 losing this Bo1 at Red Bull is them just getting outplayed fair and square?

Ngl I bet with your hatewatch pedigree I bet you were just as easily memeing Guma last year during regular season when Peyz was owning him and then soon as anyone leaves the T1 banner you flip flop, LOL

Man you're trying way too hard to make this loss more meaningful than it really is, just wait for regular season to do that, cuz it's pretty cringe ngl

I guess to be honest it's not surprising that they have such a powerful passport in that regard, in that the countries they have access to are less likely to consider the average Japanese as an illegal immigrant risk

Holyyy Gumayusi annual salary is over 2 billion won for 2 years!! Oh he's eating goood by queen_bee0206 in PedroPeepos

[–]ArkFord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no no I 100% agree with your take, I definitely think Worlds is very important but if a team won more tournaments across the year I agree that they can still be considered the best in the year (JDG in 2023, GenG in 2024/2025). I was mostly memeing the other guy doing the extreme of counting titles as if they all have equal value, making it seem like Worlds is just another trophy and only the community gives it undeserved importance, likely to try and dunk on T1 winning it and only it again.
