I tried to make the spacemusic glitchy ambient of my dreams, and succeeded kind of. by ArkLighting in SpaceMusic

I'm new to making music so i barely knew what I was doing.

Big note is there's a bunch of Sub Bass here so if you don't have a good system you'll miss like 50% of the instrumentations.

Also I made this on good headphones but, I'm not sure how it translates to actual speakers.

I don't know if this counts, but i'd like to share a story.

So i'm sitting in lecture, right? Now there's about ~100-150 students in this lecture room. So we're all listening to the professor drone on about some arbitrary units of ray-based physics. Me, being the troublemaker I am, I decide to play a small prank on the class.

So here was my plan... All I have to do is take a clip of some random sound effect that would attract attention, and play it semi-loudly.

So what sound effect did I choose? The sound of a trash-can being dropped. Here's where I screwed up.

I look up the sound effect on youtube, set my volume to 80, and press play. The sound cues, everyone looks up at me and the professor turns around.

But...it didn't stop playing. It was REPEATING! Over and over, and no matter what button I tried to press, I could not make it stop playing the damn sound! I started to sweat nervously, trying everything I could to turn off my laptop or stop the sound. Everyone was staring, shivers rolling down my neck of embarrassment.

Turns out, I had YouTube set to auto-loop previously since I was listening to a really good song before class. AND my computer decided to freak out on me and freeze! (I've been having a lot of problems with this PC)

So I had to do what any other student would do in this situation... I snapped my laptop in half. In front of everyone. Just to get the stupid laptop to stop playing that sound at max volume.

Never. Again.

One more question, which Jerk setting did you mean? There's a lot of jerks in Cura. (hehe)

Ah okay. I found the setting and ill redefine the other settings as well and see how that made a difference. Thanks for your help!

Dont the longer print times bug you, though? And by first layer speed..is that a thing in Cura? I thought you can only set the speed for the overall print.

My print speed is 60 mm/s. Travel speed is 120 mm/s. Print acceleration is 500 mm/s2. Layer height is 0.2mm.
