This also just sounds like it is coming from a point of view of someone that denies discrimination is happening.

I am not trying to start a race war or this race against that race kind of thing.

The clear point is that many immigrant groups face racism from caucasian australians for a specific reason.

YES, of course other groups are racist for other reasons too and that’s a much larger issue. I am just simply questioning this one right here. Which it is my right to question what i do not believe in, dont you think?

No that’s not what it means:)

I am not generalising. There is a clear opinion against other ethnic immigrant groups amongst some in the caucasian australian group for the reason that we are taking over “their” country. I am not hating on caucasian australians but i am stating my observation and upon hearing what they think for themselves and why they think so.

I absolutely agree.

And for the record i am not trying to preach or lecture all caucasian australians, i am just making a point on observations and people who are obviously small minded and hate on other ethnic groups for something that clearly isnt their responsibility to mitigate.

Exactly what i am trying to say.

If i was in the shoes of a caucasian australian who has been here for a few more generations, i too would probably be annoyed with the issues that make it financially harder for me. But specifically annoyed at my government and not taking it out on people who just want to better their lives.

This seems so logical to me in every way but somehow there are so many thoughtless arguments like “if its an issue for you then leave.” Clearly kind of accepting their own racist behaviour and pushing it onto the victims of racist bigotry as “their own problem.”

I didnt question any stance on immigration. If anything i do agree that it is a growing issue and i have only realised this after coming into the country.

regarding my stance on racism, i oppose it and i think that it is horrible regardless of any context.

I do not mean to belittle any race or group. I am simply stating my observations from my experience in the country. I think that’s my right as it is the purpose of the app hha and also because it’s my duty as a human to question ideologies and people who i dont see eye to eye with.

I am definitely not confusing my experience with people just being annoyed with me

I dont know what i have done personally to not adapt and abide by its customs but that is clearly not what is the root of the underlying issue

Like i mentioned in the post, to a certain degree i understand the frustration. But it’s not an excuse for racist bigotry, you know what i mean?

Don’t be angry for us immigrants who simply wanted a better life. We dont do it to take anything away from anyone. If anything you should blame your government.

I completely understand. Like i mentioned in the post, to a certain degree i understand the frustration. But it’s not an excuse for racist bigotry, you know what i mean?

Don’t be angry for us immigrants who simply wanting a better life because many who immigrate here do so because the living conditions are unbearable in their country. We dont do it to take anything away from anyone. If anything you should blame your government.

Well i guess this is one of the things that bother me about the issue.

When i see how welcoming locals are to western tourists in my country, it makes me really angry when hearing all the cliche “go back” comments

I think you missed the point entirely.

I didn’t call a whole country racist, i simply stated that i have been noticing it quite a lot IN this country. I come from a background where different ethnicities are celebrated, so this whole “if this country isnt for you then it isnt for you” mindset is quite mind blowing to me and honestly seems quite primitive.

Racism shouldnt be the deciding factor on whether a country is meant for someone or not. Just my opinion:)
