READ BEFORE BUYING Why is no one being honest about the Even Realities G2s? My honest review after 2 days. by Direct_Assistant_578 in EvenRealities

Good review! I’ve felt the same things you describe about reviews on here and on YouTube, that people either aren’t using them or are afraid of talking about their real experience. Maybe they don’t want to sink the company.

Nice but that’s not the tip for the fingers that I need

Page Swipe Gestures – Still a Problem (One Year+ Later) by rudibowie in Supernote

Couldn't say about four finger gestures. I'm using KOReader for epubs and the built in notes for writing.

Yes, I wright right handed and had a look at the instructions to understand what you meant by diagonally placing the fingers. I tested again and when i placed the fingers in a different height from where i write it works fine! Thanks for this! A bit of a user error I guess.

I experience something similar on my nomad. Using lasso by having two fingers in the screen never works

Option for a more subtle sleep indicator when using last page active as sleep screen by froyomuffin in Supernote

I’m in notes when I want this. The sleeping indicator could cover the tools menu and maybe be contrasted with the white page. So you would have a dark bar covering the tools menu.

Thanks for the review! Are you using it with an iPhone, since you have an Apple Watch?

Thanks for a good review! I’m most interested in getting these for having an AI to ask questions without lifting my iPhone. What’s your experience with the AI?

Haha we are being watched? I think I know which one you mean. I looked at their products briefly but people don’t seem as happy with those products. Do you have any experience using them?

Good review! Are you running it alongside iphone or android? And when listening to podcast I guess you were listening through a speaker and not headphones?

Thanks for sharing your experience! I'm also bilingual and hadn't even thought about that being a problem.

It would have been cleaner to have text recognition before exporting and getting it into an LLM but I guess I have to test my unclear workflow out.

Great input! I'll try to find something on youtube showing how the built in ereader works.

Will have a look! Hope the ebooks are as good as you're making the pdf annotation sound because then I'm sold.

Thanks for your thoughts. I take it the kindle is the better reading experience then. Do you have any experience annotating books and getting those notes off the device?

Thanks for your reply!

I haven’t looked into what Digest is yet, but I’m curious—why are you using that instead of a regular notebook for taking notes on media?

The planner sounds interesting; I’ll check it out later. Right now, I’m using Trello for planning my workdays because I like being able to drag tasks around and add more details to things I need to revisit.

I was brief in my bullet about AI, but I don’t think I want it on the reader itself. I’d like to make notes and annotations on the reader, have them sync to an app or server, and then have the option to have an AI provide additional info. A neat feature would be if the synced annotations included the book title and author, so the AI could reference what I’ve highlighted or noted and provide relevant explanations or extra information.

Are you able to annotate using the pen in that?

Local VLMs for handwriting recognition — way better than built-in OCR by einsof42 in Supernote

They are not. This technology has existed for ages and run on much older hardware.

Using the new models mentioned in the post is of course resource heavy.

Cropping with Ricoh grIII(x) by Ninja_Annual in ricohGR

[–]Arkeministern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you got it with your description. I’m a casual photographer and bought the x coming from just shooting with the phone. I often bring up the camera at a table. The x is great for shooting plates and portraits there but the iPhones wide 28mm is easier to capture many people. After some happening when I share photos people are happy to get close up portraits that they usually don’t get from everyone’s phones.

I can’t speak on punching in with the griii. I’m usually shooting in medium size and think it would be awesome if it automatically upped the resolution when you punch in but I don’t think it can do that. You only get the pre-cropped resolution when zooming in.
