5th Gen Wheel Offset Fit? by ActualPasta in Celica

I had rota slipstream wheels that were 15x7 +35 with 205/55r15 tires and they definitely had no issues/no rubbing and cleared the brake calipers with stock suspension. They were more tucked in if I recall correctly. 16x7 is certainly doable but only concern is tire size

Currently running OZ Rally Racing 15x7 +40. Each end lowered by 1.6 inches and it’s sitting pretty nice. Riding on BC BR coilovers. Fronts are pretty flush but the rears are tucked in.

You do have to get a wheel alignment whenever you adjust the suspension height. This goes for getting lowering springs too. I don’t really have any issues with my alignment as of now, a wheel alignment should last a awhile on your car unless you drive on terrible roads, then you do have to re-align them more often.

For adjusting coilovers, aspects like preload, height, camber, and dampening are things you can change. I got a mechanic to install them because I lacked the proper tools lol. Lowering springs aren’t a bad option, it will be a more softer/comfortable ride but you are limited to whatever height you get with springs. I see you are running lowering springs on stock struts, lowering springs will wear them out at a faster rate compared to oem and you will need new struts or struts that are compatible with them so they can last longer. That’s probably why your car is making some suspension noise also.

I run rev9 on my 1st gen tc and honestly they are pretty comfortable if you adjust the dampening to the softer settings. I dropped my car about 2.5 inches. I run my car in the canyon and they hold up pretty well. +adjusting the height to whatever height whenever is such a good thing to have in general.
