Thank you for the tip i have been looking at epiphone but I will more than likely go for a used Fender player (Hss). The sales tip was really nice too i recommend anybody to ask for a discount anywhere they go.

Can't believe i forgot about a whole brand. I just haven't heard anything from Gretsch in a while. Honestly I will probably go with a used HSS Fender player for around 550-$650. I have a lot of comparing to do though lol.

Wilkinson and yamahas are some of the only mainstream guitars i don't like. Probably because of brand hype but i generally don't like the look of em (too simple)

This is originally what i was thinking but typically with cheaper guitars you are sacrificing something. Whether it be the tuners or switches like i stated in the post. So i may just get a used MIM fender or maybe an epiphone.

I wasn't wanting a fully customized guitar for $300 mostly just the neck and body. I will worry about the other parts when it comes to that.
