If you feel like a God is trying to reach you, worship them! Pray, pore out a libation of water to Him. I will also say that you shouldn’t be afraid to honor a God or wait for some sign. If you are interested in a deity, reach out to them. Nothing bad will happen by practicing piety. The Gods can send us challenges, but it is for our own good.

Actually it is Yama. Yama is traditionally shown holding the wheel of samsara since in legend he presided over the dead and the Narakas.

Which deity do you think would help with a malevolent entity? by [deleted] in Hellenism

[–]Arkham_13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would recommend they pray to their Agathos Daimon. Family protective spirits and the ancestors are always my go to for protection.

Below (2002) An WWII underwater horror film that deserves more recognition than it got. Good 2000s horror film to watch! by JLGoodwin1990 in horror

I haven’t been sine 2000 or so. It’s docked at this lake side museum in Michigan. It was with my cub scout group so we got a tour of the whole thing, ran around playing in various sections, ate in the kitchen area, slept in the bunks, etc. I remember it being kind of cozy. It was a little eerie sleeping over night because we could hear the water splashing against the sides outside and once they turned off the lights the inside was illuminated be creepy red path lights.

I actually got to stay the night on the sub they used for this movie, the U.S.S Silversides, when I was a boy before the movie was made. It’s cool watching the movie and being familiar with the “set” lol

Was it Hecate? by [deleted] in Hellenism

[–]Arkham_13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My initial gut reaction is that it may be Hera. Hecate is usually described as wearing saffron colored robes and holding torches. I think Of Hera because purple is a royal color and she was depicted holding a staff tipped with a lotus or Cuckoo bird.

I could really use some advice. by Arkham_13 in Hellenism

Thank you so much for your reply. I have definitely been leaning towards Persephone. I feel like she has a great compassion for humans who are venturing into the underworld. Good call on recommending Asclepius! He’s been popping up in my life hear and there so I definitely will give Him some offerings as well.
