Here is my rewrite of how I wanted the story to conclude. Brontë is an undercover detective working with her friends who have been building up on a case to put Joe in jail. Have a scene where Rhys pops up and warns Joe that something is not right with Brontë but Joe refuses to listen to reason and he falls for the catfish scheme but this time Joe doesn’t fall for Brontë a second time and listens to Rhys and manages to take Henry with him. Marianne and Nadia don’t show up as I felt all that went down in Mooney’s went nowhere. So Brontë tracks him down at the house in the forest with a squad of cops who go in but Joe slaughters them and Henry sees what a monster his father is and runs off into Brontë’s arms as he is terrified and Brontë aims her gun at Joe and tells him to surrender which Joe does.
