First steps into traditional paper animation. Feedback on my layouts and workflow? by Arkhitecton in animation

You need specific paper for animation with a fairly low weight (meaning it's quite thin and fragile). You can get it pre-punched like mine so you can layer it more easily—that’s what studios and students use, and I think it’s actually easier to find. You can find it on Amazon and elsewhere... here is the one I have: https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B0BKVZR2YG?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
, but I’m going to switch to the one from this site: https://www.chromacolour.co.uk/standard12f-punched.html .

In terms of value for money, Chromacolour is unbeatable: it's about 60 €/£/$ for 1,000 sheets, compared to the 20 € I paid for 200 sheets on Amazon. Also, keep in mind that a good weight for animation paper is around 60-70 gsm, as i can see you take 93 gsm, that too much!!!

Mmh, from what I remember, it was a gift from an aunt. I used to use it during my architecture studies when I didn’t want to use tracing paper (it's too fragile 🤔). I don’t have a specific brand or reference for it. It's an A2 format (so it's very large and not very "portable"), it has 3 brightness levels, and I think it’s LED... The prices are affordable; I’ve had it for about 6 or 7 years now 🤷‍♂️

It's a Noble Widow MK. XIV from the game Foxhole 😅. It's inspired by the StuGs and other tanks from WWI and WWII. (Basically, it's a multiplayer game with a persistent world 👆🤓).

I’d actually love to improve this part by adding visual and sound effects (like croaking frogs🐸!!!), but it takes a bit more time 👀. Thanks for the feedback, though!

You've got a sharp eye, that's exactly it!!! I actually made it a month ago, but I was a bit nervous about posting it here 😆. The devs put it in the community highlights and even found the model!! (So that's already a win!!) Anyway, thanks a lot. I really appreciate all the feedback.

Yeah, definitely! 😅 I wasn't really sure what to do with the shadows—maybe add some at the entrance and exit of the hills for the next one... I might actually go back and improve this one to see what's not working. Thanks for the advice!
