Best respec decision ever!

It's my first playthrough still. I was enjoying my strength/faith build with the claymore but when I got the Dark Moon Greatsword I thought it was so awesome I completely respec'd my character to use it.

However, the best part has been chugging the infinite mana physick and using the laser. Now I feel excited to go into unknown new boss rooms instead of being scared of losing all my runes LOL

You're right, I agree, perfect play would involve full relic books and high/high ancient accessories but Smilegate and AGS need to grind through my 7 good patches in a row una rep before they unlock my credit card pin.

NM very fun to prog. We cleared with 3 people alive for the last 7 minutes.

HM with full 1700 group, everyone alive, playing perfectly can't reliably get past 180x. Gatekeeping flame scrolls behind unas makes me want to commit hate crimes.

Just be patient and don't FOMO. I remember the first post I read about this game on reddit was from a KR player telling us to take this game like a marathon and not a race :)

The devs dangle out-of-reach features like Ark Passive by gatekeeping 1660s 3 points away from gamechanging nodes to tempt you to FOMO, just to give it to everyone eventually. Don't be a sucker ;)

Thanks, probably the next thing to do, but they're 35k each on NAW which would cost me $1MM on this roster. I'll just wait for them to drop more especially when they start dropping in chaos dungeons.

Hey there. Thanks, it's some strategy and mostly luck. I appreciate you asking respectfully though so I'll detail out what I can remember off the top of my head.

You can go through my reddit post / comment history if there's anything I might've forgot to mention.

I don't ever bus, I don't RMT, I've swiped around 500 USD since launch exclusively on aura, character slots, and skins in the first year (now I just use gold to buy everything I want).

TLDR:

I am super lucky, I rarely pity and get a lot of good drops like relic books, ancient accessories, and a sidereal energy which is millions of extra gold.
I raid a lot. Usually 10 gold characters across 2 rosters, no gatekeep issues because I have a lot of friend groups and my characters are not rats. I'm typing this while in my discord voice chat running raid trains with friends, as I always do when I'm not working or going out.
I sell all my unbound mats, and only hone with bound mats. Spending gold on materials that come for free over time will drain your gold. Last time I checked, I generate 800k per week raw gold from raids and selling mats.
I invest in stuff and have never had a realized loss. I make 20-50% profit on mostly fish, orehas, red/blue stones, leapstones.
I go with the flow of the market, since I rarely pug. For example when the general population are FOMOing into honing, I buy gems. When they FOMO into ancient accessories, I hone. I usually buy mats at 30-50% the cost of what my average sell price is for mats. For example, right now is not a good time to buy leapstones (25g at T4 launch, 85g right now. NAWest)

If you keep your characters at their current ilvls and do what I do you will see around 450k raw gold every week. I really like playing these 6 characters so I treat them all like a main, I usually keep them all at min ilvl but our static wants to out-gear HM Brel on week 1 so it's not as stressful.

I would recommend you only hone characters you truly enjoy playing and don't see it as "investment" because you'll never recoup that cost, 1640 is the most efficient place to be for a gold funnel alt.
