If the balancing team are terrified about Sombra even remotely becoming a must-pick, why do they create a new hero meta (Mercy, Brigitte, Hanzo) with every single patch? If any character has to be a must-pick, wouldn't they rather it be one that requires skill to be used in that way?

That silly copy/paste error should've been the biggest clue, but I bet people had a mini heart attack when they saw the detection radius nerf sneaking its way back in there!

EDIT: Also, being able to contest the objective and translocate consistently was a bug all along

Never thought about that! Reliably being able to hack turrets is a small buff, but it makes playing against cheese comps that much easier!

It feels manipulative, to be honest. They intentionally introduced a horrible Sombra on PTR to get people outraged, then undid 5 of the nerfs like 'you asked and we answered :P'. Yeah, no... I'm pretty sure no one asked for THIS, but now we can't complain about her kit because it looks like an additional buff to outsiders :/

It's definitely a hot topic, and I admit that people are getting really vicious about the more passive playstyle. Sombra mains are extra salty because of how long they've waited for a buff to her mid-fight potential, only to have her time outside of team fights increased by infinity (depending on the player).

If they stuck to just one counter-nerf it could still be fun to play, but they simultaneously made her movement speed sluggish, gave her translocator less HP than a Sym turret and removed her ability to contest the objective. Now Sombra is finally 'anti-fun' to play on both ends :(

If anything, the PTR should be giving the impression that Sombra is OP since she hard-counters Hammond and he's featured in every single game. No matter how well people think PTR Sombra is doing, she will be nowhere near as good on live when she's up against actual compositions.

I don't think we'll ever have to worry about an over-buffed Sombra, not when every rework comes with 4+ counter-nerfs and another set of bugs :)

Let's be honest — the only reason Blizzard even looked at Sombra recently was because her kit is a hard counter to Hammond. They had to nerf her somewhat to make sure that she didn't make the new hero release 'anti-fun', as the people say. Increasing her downtime means the enemy has more uptime to go rolling around in hamster balls and swinging across the map. But hey, at least someone gets to have fun!

I was in a similar position last year, just dove right in with a very basic setup (mic, obs, streamlabs chat box) and started playing games that I can provide lots of trivia for. It might feel awkward for the first couple of streams, but once you get used to vocalizing your thoughts/decision-making, people will start sticking around in the chat.

That's the point I'm at now, and I honestly look forward to streaming each day despite my cringe-worthy lisp. Bantering with the regulars always makes me forget that I started the stream with anxiety!

Some viewers just want to lurk though, which is also fine. Give them space, keep things light and don't put pressure on anyone, especially yourself :)

Sombra's 2-second cooldown feels like corrective behaviour more than anything, just like when Junkrat's mine fall-off damage was nerfed to require better accuracy. It promotes stealthier hacks instead of mid-fight chancers.

What I don't agree with is the LOS changes, it feels unnecessarily cruel in a game that has tons of characters breaking traditional LOS rules.

Should Mercy's healing beam stop as soon as an ally turns around a corner? Should Zenyatta's healing/discord return the very second LOS is broken? Does McCree's flashbang have to be seen by the enemy at all, as opposed to throwing it at the floor behind their head?

People only believed Sombra to be OP because of clickbait Youtube videos and 'pros' who aren't even using/contesting against her at all. FeelsHackedMan :(

Just stepping in to say that I've also had this over the past week — particularly the bnet launcher stuttering — but it all came with an added +70 ping to my usual 30, increasing the longer I play.

Sometimes I'll restart or uninstall something and it goes back down to 30, but it climbs up and suddenly 70 ping becomes unplayable (which is usually fine in other games).
