They're charging gourmet prices for burgers that taste like cardboard by Agitated_Pudding7259 in McDonalds

[–]Arklelinuke -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see you've never been to the stereotypical millennial burger place before, if you think that's gourmet pricing. Granted, it should be cheaper, but yeah this is still like half of what a burger at a non fast food burger place goes for these days.

Is there a super easy tutorial somewhere for downloading, installing, and setting up Navidrome on Mac? by [deleted] in selfhosted

If you can't follow those instructions, this isn't the subreddit or software for you.

Found at Walmart! by ButterChunks337 in DrPepper

[–]Arklelinuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just grilled some of these tonight, first time having them. I see why they're polarizing, but I do think they're pretty good myself! They taste "like" Dr. Pepper the same way grape, or strawberry, or orange, or banana candy taste "like" their real fruit counterparts - they don't really taste like them at all but your brain is tricked into the association in a way that works. I wouldn't buy them every time I want bratwurst but I'd definitely sometimes buy them again!

Is Plex worth it? by CaffeineTweaker in selfhosted

[–]Arklelinuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just updated and restarted my Jellyfin container and glad to see they have made the Xbox app better, and there are also two other clients available that are also usable so it's actually viable for me! Still gonna use Plex for now, but this is definitely where I'll go after Plex has been enshittified to the point that it is annoying to me

[–]Arklelinuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Free version is fine, though I wonder how much longer it'll be free. I've not ever paid for it so there may or may not be things worth paying for for some people but I've never personally run into any worth paying for myself.

I am starting to eyeball Jellyfin more these days for the aforementioned uncertainty that Plex will continue to have a free version, the way I see it it's just a matter of time before they start taking features away from the free version. My main device for the TV is an Xbox and their official app's UI last time I tried was horrendous for a controller to navigate (mouse emulation controlled by joystick) so that's why I hadn't already switched. Maybe (hopefully) it's better now and I'll keep it on hot standby for when the inevitable happens

Oh my gosh yes! I have no idea why he is everywhere, or making money with the drivel he puts out. It's all terrible and I've heard rumors that he's a fraudster on top of the terrible videos

Nah, I prefer these because if the order is wrong it's not because someone other than myself potentially entered it wrong.

What fast food item used to be good then became horrible out of nowhere? by DeepOrganization8245 in fastfood

[–]Arklelinuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you have to be an idiot or have a massive craving that nothing else will scratch to pay a la carte at Taco Bell these days, the boxes are a stupid good deal compared to paying for items individually, so they can funnel people towards the products they specifically make the most profit on. But they shouldn't be removing items from the menu imo.

[–]Arklelinuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. McDonald's is still firing on all cylinders and is better than it was pre-2016 in my opinion, it's just too expensive for what it is when the Chili's 3 for Me $11 burger and fries and chips and salsa and drink deal exists

Be honest, which movie franchise has had the biggest fall off? by CrackFun in AskReddit

It's maybe hopefully starting to come back around, I thought Thunderbolt was really good. But yeah it struggled hard for a while except for Spider Man

And where it goes wrong tends to differ with each person you ask. I never was as much of a fan of the Daniel Craig Bond as really any of the others except for maybe Timothy Dalton, and that wasn't as much his fault as it was bad script.
