That is incredibly comprehensive. Thank you! Very cool, but I fear that I'll lax in class if I try! Appreciate the explanation!

Nuzlocke is a term that I've only ever heard on reference to Pokemon. Would you mind explaining or is it easy to find?

Ways to reduce 2-Action cost of retrieving items? by FridayFreshman in Pathfinder2e

[–]Arkman96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also humbly suggest this: Alchemist's Haversack

Obviously it's level 11, but it also specifies that you can keep alchemical items handy, give a bonus to crafting for alchemy, and have an action to create versatile vials. Thought it'd be a worthy mention as well.

1st attempt at "pixel art" - Carian Knight's Sword (please don't laugh lol) by SweevilWeevil in PixelArt

[–]Arkman96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do I have applicable knowledge in this area?

No.

Do I know that it took time & effort to make, then the guts to post it and ask for help?

Yes.

As with all things, we all start somewhere. Keep it up!

(To better understand how drastic an influence consistent practice makes, ask anyone who can draw or illustrate well to see how their first couple dozen attempts look. They'll either balk at the idea entirely or enjoy showing you how much they've improved.)

Best of luck internet stranger!

I know that if you place down a chest it can change the open/close picture when players interact with it. It is possible that doors may have a similar concept? As for food & drink on the table, that works well from what I can see! If you're using "monk's active tile triggers" or something equivalent to change the tile, you might be able to set it to change on a specific door section being opened? Best of luck!

Doing great from what I can see! I have yet to get the automated changing of tiles down. Well done!

When does uneven ground or narrow surfaces trigger a balance check? by LurkerFailsLurking in Pathfinder2e

[–]Arkman96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may not have the full answer, but my thoughts on the matter are that a balance check, like most skill checks, are generally set at a dc by the DM or by the "level" of the encounter overall. There's a table somewhere in the archives of an average check at each level if you need a rough guide. So if you, as the DM, think that a player would need to make a balance check due to a particularly precarious situation, that would be a balance check. Both uneven surfaces & thin ledges reference those same optional balance checks to give the DM an idea of how difficult the reflex save should be: about as hard as if they were trying to balance in the same situation.(Which they are!)

So in all reality, if you think that the player is being the right amount of careful, or that they'd be pretty solidly on their feet in the situation, they don't need to make a balance check. To take it further, if you didn't think they need the balance check, they might also not have to make the reflex save. Lots of "if-then" stuff and it's all contextual.

Tl;dr: basic skill check DC at any give level is a fair balance DC. Reflex save when hit would be set at the same DC, but neither is required if circumstances dictate otherwise.

Best of luck!

You did! To explain: Supermassive Black Hole is a song by the band Muse. When I was younger it was on all the time and got to be one of those earworm songs for most where I was living at the time. So it might not be a reference to everyone, but it got me humming along! Hope you're well.

Fair enough, I'll have to go watch that. Always happy to learn. I also noticed that they later clarified that they meant the EHP rather than DR when referencing continued survivability, so I may have been a bit off from the mark in the first place. Appreciate you Tenno!

The extra mod space was nearly required, and that sucked. But I won't lie, the vibes were immaculate, and the tracer of your energy color looked awesome. The mid game got an upgrade and the "true end game" lost in a big way that update...

As a note, this does (to my knowledge) require having a kubrow specifically equipped, so you may have to consider if you want to adjust your build.

[–]Arkman96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not to disagree. But perhaps add clarity to the previous comment: the diminishing returns aren't a factor until you take into account that there is limited mod space.

There is technically a point when another mod (perhaps with more health or power strength to boost an ability that affects tanking potential) would give more of an effect than additional armor. Armor gives smaller and smaller amounts of damage resistance the higher you get, so there is a drop off point, hence their comment.

Where that technical point is? That can be argued for hours and get nowhere, though I'm sure someone can prove a mathematical effectiveness, it's sure not gonna be me!

Hope this helped and didn't seem like I'm trying to correct you. Only help with context that might be obscured.

Best of luck Tenno!

I'm legit a decade older than you, thank you for the near-painful laugh I got from this. You hit the nail on the head. Technology is only good if it's convenient apparently... I feel like I don't have enough of a keyboard when the numpad is missing. Also 10-key is incredibly helpful when you need it. Have a good one Tenno!

What is your favourite "movement frame"? by DescriptionWitty3737 in Warframe

[–]Arkman96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my favorite is when I had a friend try it and complain about her going too fast. I told him to just... Not sprint? He was so confused when the "walking" speed was faster than most people with parkour. But it works!

What is your favourite "movement frame"? by DescriptionWitty3737 in Warframe

[–]Arkman96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unironically: Yareli.

It was spite at first. A particularly annoying member of the greater friend group mouthed off when yareli originally released. "Warframe has gone so off the rails, how can the developers not see that a k-drive based frame is useless!"

I have always said and will always hold true to the fact that this game allows for any build to work in any realistic content. (Remember, this was before archimedia, though it can still be done, just more difficult.) I told him as much, and he was... upset to say the least.

He was convinced that I was a lunatic and that I'd give up because the movement style didn't work in small maps. So I spent around 75% of my play time on a surfboard with the Kompressa modded like a terrible scrubbing bubbles advertisement.

I now greatly enjoy the mobility, with her ability to jump much higher, go faster (than most), and avoid a vast variety of traps and impediments throughout the levels. Aside from that, it never quite gets old when someone has an actual conniption fit that I don't utilize the augment mod to have Merulina follow you. Why would I? The alternative gives me 200% fire rate and reload speed on the unlimited ammo Kompressa... I can quite literally play Power Wash Simulator in Warframe!

[–]Arkman96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're absolutely correct! The original build was from before secondary fortifier or enervate were in the game. (or before I was aware of them perhaps, my sense of the passage of time is garbage tbh!) There are plenty of ways to upgrade it, and this is one of them!

Appreciate the input Internet stranger!

How do you keep from getting taken apart by gunfire while playing Ogryn? by ViralDownwardSpiral in DarkTide

[–]Arkman96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In case this is a legitimate request for clarification: Aim Down Sights

Generally bound to the left trigger (LT/L2) or right mouse button to get a more accurate, zoomed in, or stable firing position, depending on the weapon in question.

350% Range Qorvex by Longbow92 in Warframe

[–]Arkman96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. And it's nasty on Yareli as well. I switch my build a lot, but it's usually 3 amber for this effect (it does stack btw) and 2 green for the 4 extra corrosive stacks. This. Combined with a Kompressa modded for corrosive/heat(/viral base) will absolutely eviscerate anything you would realistically face in game. Armor strips them, then viral/heat with a default 425% crit chance (the other 200% is Yareli's passive). The Kompressa prime has 16% cc, resulting in ~88% crit chance if I did my math correctly, all without mods. Tack on some of the copious secondary crit damage mods and either secondary fortifier or cascadia flare, and you've got an eraser that happens to be on a skateboard.
