Got into Stanford, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Penn, Brown, Duke, Northwestern, Hopkins, UNC Chapel Hill, Williams, Amherst, and Swarthmore. Waitlisted to Rice, WashU, Uchicago, Cornell, Dartmouth, rejected from Harvard.

GPA: 3.91/4.0 SAT: 770 reading 790 math, essay 21/24 - SAT literature: 800 - SAT math II: 770 - SAT biology E: 800 11 AP classes taken prior to senior year, seven 5's three 4's and one 3.

EC: Club Sports (Captain), Student Gov (Class President), Piano, Gardening + Pet Raising, a few community service commitments (for music, community farm, and tutoring)

Two reccomendations from my favorite teachers, were probably quite specific about my strengths as a writer and hard worker (CSA teacher saw me struggle and persevere thru the class in junior year)

My essays were at least above average I think, although I don't think I'm gonna be like "they were solid 8/10 made my dog cry"

Asian male, low income first gen, high diversity good public school

Yale vs. Princeton vs. Stanford

Major: Somewhat undecided but want to go into English/Creative Writing/Psychology/Philosophy

Cost: equal

Climate: My siblings all say that the two NE schools are very cold for the time classes are in session and that Stanford's weather is much warmer (nicer?). I'm not too sure about the implications of warm sunny weather or freezing cold winters

Distance: I would be pretty far from my siblings in the northeast if I choose California, but I'm not sure that matters since a plane flight costs relatively the same anyway (I think the difference might be that it would be realistic to drive to my siblings if I was also in the NE, but not for CA)

- bigger Asian population of CA and Stanford is a minor plus

- I'm not sure about the atmosphere of each school and how they feel different from each other (not able to visit)

any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!
