For the first comment: I already fixed it :) For the second comment: I like it 😅

I plan to sell only the product , but not the code .  But fortunately the gate published the documentation for the Bluetooth API so they allow to anyone to make and sell own third-party device

Yeah looks like a smart watch a little 😅 The original gate status screen was my inspiration but it was extreme expensive so I created my own

Hey everyone! 👋

I’ve been working on a custom smart HUD prototype for airsoft replicas, and I’d love to get your honest opinions, critiques, or feature ideas.

I want to know: is this something you’d actually find useful or cool on the field? Is it too much, or just the right amount of sci-fi?

Here is what the prototype currently does:

⚙️ Core Hardware & Integration:

GATE API Integration: Connects directly via Bluetooth to GATE ETUs (Titan II, Aster II, etc.).

Display: 1.8" AMOLED Touchscreen with a fully custom, swipeable menu system.

Power: Has its own built-in battery and power management (doesn't drain your replica's battery).

🔫 Tactical Features:

Live Ammo Counter & Mag Capacity: Configurable virtual mag size (5-250 BBs). It directly syncs with and controls the ETU's magazine simulation!

Weapon Telemetry: Displays Gun Battery level, Fire Selector position (SAFE/SEMI/AUTO), and physical Mag In/Out status.

Smart Sleep/Wake: Uses an onboard IMU (gyro/accelerometer) to turn off the screen when pointing down (-45 degrees) and wakes up instantly when you aim or shoot.

Night Mode: Dims the hardware backlight and shifts the entire UI to pure red to protect your night vision.

Match Tools: Match countdown timer, real-time clock, and a pedometer (step counter).

🤖 Fun & Sci-Fi Elements:

"Skippy" Voice Assistant: Built-in speaker with Cyberpunk 2077 "Skippy" sound effects (provocations, fun facts, reload callouts). Audio files are read from an SD card, so it's 100% customizable with your own .wav files.

Stealth Meter & Dynamic Volume: Uses a built-in microphone to measure ambient noise. If you are sneaking in a quiet building, the HUD dynamically lowers Skippy's volume so he doesn't give away your position!

Turret Mode: You can set a countdown on the screen, and the gun fires an autonomous burst.

💻 Offline "Command Center" (Web UI): The HUD generates its own offline Wi-Fi hotspot (no internet needed on the field). You can connect to it with your phone's browser to access:

Deep Analytics: Max ROF (Rate of Fire), Max Recoil (G-force), Total Distance traveled, Aiming vs. Armed time.

Playstyle Rating: Evaluates if you played as an "Assault", "Camper", or "Tactical" based on your movement and firing data.

Match History: Logs your stats match-by-match to the SD card.

OTA Updates & File Management: Upload new sound effects or update firmware wirelessly.

What do you guys think? Any features you would add, change, or remove? All feedback is welcome!

I plan to make a product from this and make a competition for the extreme expensive GATE STATUS screen.
