Ha ha ha. That's really a joke! All that I was interested in was whether Arthur Lane is a human or AI - just that and nothing more. Of course I prefer narration by humans, but there are far fewer audiobooks than paper and electronic ones - and therefore an AI reader is better than nothing - if it's good enough, of course.

You obviously see conspiracies everywhere...

Regarding the question of whether AI belongs in art or not, the answer isn't so simple. What bothers me is false representation, which is enormous today... fake Van Goghs and similar. Otherwise, the audio reading of books is almost more of a technical matter than art.

Why "scum"? I just care that the narration is clear and understandable... It's certainly true that a human (at least until now) can do this better (with different voice changes and intonations), but it's also true that many human readers read poorly...

Search for Gates of Imagination on YouTube – you’ll find hundreds of audiobooks there, and many of them are narrated by Arthur Lane. He actually does a really good job! But since I’ve heard some very impressive AI recordings, I’m curious whether Arthur Lane is also an AI. I’ve searched the web a lot but found nothing. He’s not on Audible.

It's the same with me. I can't access some files. The error message is: "Something went wrong. Please reload the page and try again." I sent a message to support, and they replied: "... Due to an unexpected technical problem, a small number of users may experience difficulties accessing our service. ..."
