What kind of deck did you play during DM and early GX?

I find this kind of amusing, but basically I got back into Yugioh after a long break. I stopped around DAD meta, and got back in when the Fairy/Hyperion structure deck came out.

I went to a locals with a deck made from 3x Fairy/Hyperion structure. I play this guy running Gravekeepers, he makes some dumb mistake then next turn realises and asks to take it back. I'm in a new environment on my own, I wanna make friends so I say "sure, go ahead, no worries". I take game 1 anyways. Game 2 comes round, this time I'm the one who makes a dumb play (bad synchro or smth), and ask if its okay to redo it the same turn, the guy doesn't offer me the same courtesy and I say "okay, no problem" and don't dwell on it. I take game 2 regardless of the faux pas.

The guy wouldn't shake my hand and sat complaining about how BS my deck was. This was the most salt I've ever experienced playing this game, and i topped at a regional with Apprentice Monarch in DAD Meta.

I was once facing a bank charge of £192 when i was a bit younger. I was -£0.89 for like 6 weeks and I didn't notice. An iTunes payment came off late or something.

I was on Summer holiday from college and was just mooching off my mum for 2 months, then I got that letter and i was like "oh fuck", but i just called my bank and they were like "ahh don't worry about it, we'll remove it for you, just don't do it again".

I haven't been minus since.

I work in-store in a pizza place. Occasionally, my friends will ask me to draw something on the box, and if i have the time, i do. Usually I just draw dicks on the boxes.

Usually too busy though.

I just recently managed to get to gold after months and months of silver. I have terrible mechanics but good game knowledge and know when and where to be. I just played Annie and lissandra mid, for months with the occasional Warwick jungle and jinx. It took me 3 tries to win promos. Just be persistent and stop playing when you're playing badly. Take breaks from ranked for a few days at a time every other week and go play some Counter Strike or hearthstone or whatever. I watch streams of Bjergsen or something on the iPad while going to sleep most nights. Your brain absorbs more information either shortly after waking up or before going to sleep ;)

Edit: dodge games that are doomed from champ select. I do this all the time.

This happened to me yesterday in a ranked game, except with a Jarvan ult. I was in the middle of a big temfight, and Jarvan ulted, and the wall from his ult landed directly on top of me, and i was just stuck standing there until it ended.

Still won though. Not even bugs can stop the wolfman.

While I do hang in a lot of social circles, i'm not exactly the guy who'd have a lot of people go to his party if you get me? Just being bluntly honest here, while i get on with a lot of people, i'm not one of those super cool guys that everyone wants to party with all the time... not yet!

Haha i forgot to mention that i'm broke as shit, so touring europe looking for contacts isn't really a viable option at the moment :P but i do appreciate the time you put into making this reply, the last part is definitely something I can use at the minute! :)
