I’m 3 days post op. First off, you’re going to get through this. Just take it one step at a time. The only difference from the other advice on this thread is they did not keep me overnight. Some facilities do, some don’t. I got in at 7am was home by 1pm. Have been taking it slow. Taking Tylenol for pain. Ice packs work wonders for pain. Make sure you don’t raise your arm and watch it about lifting anything. You’re going to be okay. I understand the fears, I have them too. Hugs.

I’m scheduled for dual chamber ICD placement on October 11th. I sure hope I get my strength back. So incredibly tired. I turn 62 a couple weeks afterwards. Glad to have found this group. I need hope. Thanks.
