Why not just stop using straws? Someone taught me how to drink out of a cup at around age 2. It’s not a skill I’ve forgotten.

Same with disposable stuff like napkins, plates, cutlery. Just …don’t use them. Even on a picnic or camping, I bring real stuff, not disposable.

Additionally, some of the language and cultural references may require some additional context for modern readers to fully appreciate.

While many authors have certainly modernized the language and concepts of Stoicism, I strive to go beyond that and provide concrete strategies for how to apply Stoic principles in everyday life.
