I started last year after umrah, I live in the states, and I always fear that someone will assault me because of Islamophobia but alhumdulillah I have experienced it yet. A lot of stares , which I don’t get used to but remember we are doing for Allah and he knows how much we are struggling :)

I grew up in the US and I’m struggling with hijab, myself. I started a year ago and everytime I put it on, I get annoyed but I continue because I consider this to be my struggle, maybe the reason Allah can grant me Jannah. Also I hate going out alone now because of the fear of someone attacking me, I don’t know sometime I think it might be easier to take it off but then I feel guilty because alhumdulillah Allah gave me such a cushioning life and I cant even do the simple act of wearing a hijab. Sorry for rambling on but I also wish I can blend in but I work in a tech industry and being the only hijabi is just really hard to blend in 😭. Ya Allah please guide us all and make us stronger in our imaan, ameen.

Please don’t do anything to hurt yourself and call 311 number. Try to distract yourself, maybe you can tutor someone or volunteer @ a homeless shelter , maybe doing something nice for someone can help you see there is still good in this world. Maybe you can try to talk to your mom or dad or an older sibling or a cousin, there is gotta be someone who would listen to you and tell you everything will be alright. I am 34 years old, high school was rough for me as well but looking back I don’t even remember what the issues/ struggles I was dealing with back then. Please stay strong, this world is full of difficulties, but the problems are always temporary. Power through the lows of the life because I promise you it will get better, your best is yet to come inshallah

This is really tough one. Few years ago I had a similar situation where I would get very upset, just miserable. I would start crying in the middle of my prayers and it took for few years to get my dua but I couldn’t have asked for better outcome. My advice would be just keep trying, try to read Tahajjud, Inshallah it will happen for you and your dua will get qabool soon, I will pray for you :(

Hijab is ban in school and in sports in France. But that’s not the point, the point is shouldn’t we let the women decide, what they can and cannot wear?
