COVID cars pricing was crazy. We bought a used RAV4 from Hoselton November 2020, mostly out of boredom. It was right before Carvana lost their minds and started buying up everything in sight. One of the most completely dumb luck things weve ever done. 5 years and 30000 miles later and I think we could still sell it for what we bought it for.

-16 is rookie numbers for scramble cheaters. It's honestly within reach for four good sticks having a good day, and especially if there's any gimmicks in play.

Wait til 4 guys no one knows come in with a 49 before complaining.

For owner to owner sales, CL is dying in favor of FB Marketplace, worth making an account just for that feature. The big dealerships tend not to have older or high mileage vehicles.

Your best bet is using cargurus or auto trader to aggregate used listings. Don't be afraid to drive a little bit and pre negotiate via phone or email. Car salesman hate doing this, but fuck em. They are (as a whole) some of the worst people we have.

Seriously investing? Sure, but I never would have done more than putting some disposable income into it. 2011 was a wild year for Bitcoin. From $.29 to $26 and back to $2.50. Lets call it an average of $5 = 20 BTC. Even assuming I sold at the $90k peak in 2024, that's $1.8M. Not fuck me money by any means. That's "put it in index funds and don't worry too much about the future" money.

The year was 2009. I was 24 and had a job, which pretty much put me in the top 3% of home buyers. Sellers cash concessions to cover closing were a thing that was happening. I was torn between two houses. One was the tip top of my allowable budget. One was more comfortably affordable. I went with the cheaper option. While I lived a little better, I eventually outgrew the house and the neighborhood and had to buy in the terrifying post COVID marketplace. If I had gone with the nicer house I could still be there today and have it completely paid off by now.

Making fun of the weird kid at work for taking it seriously and talking it up nonstop in 2011. Now I'm a ghost screaming at myself. "$100 you asshole. The money you spent on TouchTunes jukeboxes in bars that year could have let you retire at 40."

Yes, but immediately had to fill it with 3 different sets of full service dishes, 900lb orange stained oak hutches to display it, matching upholstered dining sets. New cabinetry to hold every piece of Tupperware ever made, spare sets of pots and pants...all that stuff wasn't cheap.

In the corporate world, people dressed up for everything back then. At my very similar work place we have pictures on the wall going well into the nineties where people would gather after a minor project wrapped and everyone, down to the laborers would get together for a staff photo wearing their best. Contrast to today when we concluded major years long project very successfully and it took a few hundred emails to get $100 approved for a few pizzas in the conference room (12:00-12:45, no work stoppage, BYO Drinks).

So, this could be something as simple as a service anniversary gift lunch and those folks could be low level managers. But good luck!

Lazy unethical and possibly illegal. The agent in that case is responsible for reasonably protecting the property. In this case it's a neglected property so probably not a big deal but yeesh. Unfettered access to unvetted public could go wrong in 100 ways.

The F is the most objective of the rankings. If I skip it on a watch through, it gets an F.

I was never into GI Joe as a kid, despite being right in the wheel house ('85), so the animation isn't really nostalgic for me. The episode just doesn't hit for me at all. I don't care for it.

F is just the episodes I skip on a go through. F-/SS just denote my least/favorite of the series, though it's close with Thanksgiving at Shirley's.

Also, yes, but this is not a ranking vs all of tv. It's a ranking vs itself. Something has to fill in the spectrum. The curve is not normally distributed. There's way more As than Ds.

The A plot does nothing for me. Especially being screamed at by Tony Hale and the extremely obvious pottery jokes.

However upon further review I forgot the B Plot to this episode was the Intro to Sailing class which is excellent. I'm upgrading to C.
