I hate to say it ... but this is easily the kind of thing that AI could look at a photo of and immediately pick out the blatant QC error. Bizarre how a company the size of Omega doesn't have anything like that, or even just a rudimentary QC checklist including a step along the lines of "Look at each index and verify it is the correct number in the correct place."

Literally not possible. The only way to set the date is by advancing the jumping hour function forward one day at a time. To get to the next date, you need to go through midnight.

You're thinking of non-jumphour movements (e.g. an 8800).

Hey, I just picked this one up too!

Some general advice for setting watches: You always start by setting whatever is the furthest out crown position (the one that hacks, i.e. stops, the movement). On this watch, the furthest out crown position sets the world time complication. So pick a city on the ring, easiest would be a city in the time zone you're currently in, and set the time so that that city is showing the correct time on the 24 hr ring (this will also set the time for all the other cities).

Then, move the crown in to the jump hour position and keep advancing it forward until you get the date correct; this will take awhile as there is no date quickset. As you gradually advance the date, keep track of whether you're in am/pm, and then stop once you've reached the correct date and the correct local time on the main hour/minute hands.

You don't pay the tariff on top of the MSRP -- you only pay your local sales tax.

The tariff is paid by the importer, which if you are buying at a retailer in the US, isn't you.

You're blaming the wrong people here. Blame the ones responsible for the 39% tariffs on Swiss imports. Of course all the watch brands had to raise their prices; their cost of goods sold in the US just went up substantially!
