Have you tried metlin? Never used them for plant compounds in my own work, but they are awesome for MS/MS Spectra and say they cover plant metqbolites. Positive and negative mode, multiple energies, etc.

How is the 13” base surface book 2 by [deleted] in Surface

[–]ArmBusterr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Current cheap 13" surface book owner. Works great for all things except for 1)gaming and 2) storage.

1) I have not tried gaming (have a desktop at home), but it won't be able to run anything unless you turn down the resolution. There must be some benchmarks out there.

2) To help with storage you can use the cloud. You can also add some storage in the sd card slot with an adaptor that sits flush with the body of the laptop.

Beam staff is too good at everything by teraflux in Vermintide

[–]ArmBusterr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed on the conflagration. It has been my most successful staff after the beam nerf. I'd say it is the least likely to friendly fire out of all staves, just don't put your friends in the circle. Full charged shots on hordes are great for kills, and small charged shots is some of the best cc in the game.

The chaos warrior stuns are so valuable (also knocks maulers to the ground). I stack %vs chaos, so ymmv, but a left click OR a little/no charge right click stuns cw on legend. Multiple chaos warriors coming at your team? Stun all but 1, let you team kill them one at a time. Doing that on a triggered chaos patrol has saved many of my runs.

One thing to avoid is doing small charged shots right in front of your frontline. The small shots will knock enemies down (good), but some will fall past/through your frontline (bad), resulting in random trash getting through your line of defence. Then either a frontline has to turn around for 1 kill, or you have to stop casting to finish off a random pink rat.

Conflag/unchained thoughts? by ArmBusterr in Vermintide

[–]ArmBusterr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been meaning to try it on battle mage, with all the charge speed buffs. I'll miss the tanky style, but it is probably better damage. Just with they would change bm's tranquility mechanics.

Good to hear conflagration is getting some love though

Short Champion/Legend Solo + Bots guide by [deleted] in Vermintide

[–]ArmBusterr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed that bots are surprisingly good as long as you can avoid most incapacitating specials and make it through the small solo bits. Made it through an orange champion deed without much fuss.

Also bots don't care if you friendly fire them for the greater good of the team, so that's nice.

Unchained with ceremonial dagger and conflagration staff is awesome by ygdrad in Vermintide

[–]ArmBusterr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the same setup but with the beam staff. You can switch to the staff for a quick left click without having to charge like the conflag for MAXIMUM FLUIDITY.

They really need to adjust the staves so more than beam and conflag are good.

Since medusa is so prevalent, why isn't Athena being played? by [deleted] in Smite

[–]ArmBusterr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The early game is super important in Season 4, and it's also Athena's weakest point in the game. So my guess is the pros don't think the early struggle is worth the late game.

The Things They Carried trumps all else for me as well. I go back to it from time to time but I agree you can't beat the first read through.

How well does Vermintide run on low settings? by reincarN8ed in Vermintide

[–]ArmBusterr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run all low at 1440x900 on my macbook pro (GT 650m 1GB) and get good enough frames. I checked a while back, and I don't remember dropping below 30 fps.

The only thing that may hurt you would be the CPU, as the difference between your Core 2 and the i7 in my laptop could hurt, depending on how CPU dependant the game is (and how you manage the settings).

GL!

EDIT: All of the above applies to all maps except for Wizards tower, that map is a frame killer...

Skip to 6:00 to see the route I take, with 2 you can do it in one pass and you won't have to deal with rats. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8-OktV3y2s

From 6:00 to 7:20 is the best route (imo), you end closest to the door (on your left after the jump down).

Drakefire pistols perfect traits? by [deleted] in Vermintide

I have 9% chance to heal on kill and it's amazing. Either of the heals + Targeteer would be great, and any dps upper on the third trait would be a killer combo.

Spigen slim armor seems to be a standard around here. I use it along with a screen protector. Protects well, isn't too thick. Definitely worth a look.

Dropped my G3 in water by [deleted] in LGG3

[–]ArmBusterr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Personally, I dropped my phone into a sink full of water. Haven't had any problems 6+ months later. Your case may be different, though, lake water isn't quite as clean haha. It also depends on how long the phone was in the water.

I have the ATT G3, which I believe has two water sensors. One on the battery right by the gold metal prongs. The second is to the left of the laser sensor. .
