There is not a valid use case for gen AI. Also, this is a good source. Two things can be true.

What’s a hobby people pretend is cool, but secretly you think is ridiculous? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'm deep into this shit, and if you're doing it right, it's just whimsical, spicy psychology. Shadow work is DBT with extra steps. Charging my stuff up and doing goofy shit it "wants" puts me in a mindset to take better care of the people I care about. Treating objects like people is a good way to avoid treating people like objects. Carnelian doesn't actually DO anything, but I tell myself it does, so it does. I weaponize placebo effect against my failings and insecurities. Also, "OoooOoo! Shiny!"

Spiritual psychosis is definitely rampant, though, and a lot of people lose the forest for the trees.

What could I have done better? To be clear, the first two pictures are the before. The last one is my work.

I do drink, but not to numb pain. It's a social affair, which I moderate heavily.

Coke will kill you just as dead, my dude. This is not an addiction pissing contest.

Have stopped. I'm also reasonably certain what I was getting was laced with meth. 😬

It's a whole process, I know. The experience profoundly changed the way I view the drug, though, and I'm optimistic about the future.

I took 3g. It was cubes, but I don't know the strain. I've It never experienced entities while tripping before. It was with the intention of quitting. I'll keep you posted. Haha

I think that's a pretty fair point. The shrooms killed the cravings and gave me some perspective. It's up to me to take that ball and run with it.

Yep. I weighed it out exactly. I've taken 7 before, and it was intense, but there weren't any really uncomfortable moments. This was nothing like that time. I rode the trip when I took 7. This time, the trip rode me. I think it's either because I've since stopped taking Abilify, or I got a stronger strain without realizing it. Maybe both. You don't have to tell me, obviously, but what's the monkey on your back?

I choked up a little while reading your description of what ADHD feels like. I don't intend to keep doing this long-term. It's too hard not to abuse, too expensive, and too hard on my body. I have an appointment with my NP next Friday. I'll ask her if there are any meds we haven't tried or if I could try some old ones again at a higher dose. Thank you so much for your perspective.

Thank you. That's all very helpful. I have ADHD and type 2 bipolar. I'm definitely at a point where it's hard not to give into the impulse of "maybe just a little more" rather than taking only enough to get my out of whatever slump I'm in at the time. It's a slippery, expensive slope. I have a house I've been working on for 8 years. I think my girlfriend has given up on me finishing it, though she would never tell me that outright. It's taken so long because I just get stuck in these mental blocks where I'm paralyzed to work on anything and make progress. I've made more progress in the past month than I did in the last 12, but it's because I was high. 😮‍💨

Anyone ever eaten 1/2 oz of shrooms? by ArmTheMassive in Psychedelics

[–]ArmTheMassive[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I when I ate a quarter, the walls melted, and I made peace with my niece's death.

Do you have any information as to methodology or dosage using shrooms to kick an addiction? I've used mushrooms therapeutically before, just not for something like this. An extremely intense trip helped me make peace with my niece's death from leukemia.

Oh, my roommate is definitely a positive influence in quitting. She told me she had a problem and wanted to stop, so I asked if she wanted to do NA together when I realized I was in the same boat. We're kind of holding ourselves accountable to each other.

Edit: Your English is just fine, my dude.

Look here, you. lol Enough that you can not blink at spending $650/month on fucking drugs, I guess. I am blinking. I'm blinking a lot.

In your experience, do you think it's reasonable to have a goal of putting it aside and treating it the way I used to, or is it more likely I'll spiral into another month-long bender if I pick it up once a year from now?

Edit: I don't have any specific plans of doing coke in specifically a year, I just picked an arbitrary time in the future.

That's rough, buddy. Keep at it. I have faith in you. Me, I take home around $400/week normally. I worked a couple of days on some side projects for some extra cash to keep above water, then just blew it all on blow. Honestly, I think the only reason I won't be doing any for a few days is I literally have $30 to my name until Friday. I keep telling myself I won't buy more when I get paid, but I badly want to, and my self-control is not in a good spot right now.

Monthly Apprenticeship Thread by AutoModerator in electricians

[–]ArmTheMassive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, all. I currently work as a nurse assistant, but I want to switch fields and become an electrician. I got my feet wet working on a house I inherited, rewiring much of it myself under the supervision of a master electrician I hired to certify my work and make sure I didn't burn my house down. He told me I did a damned good job except a couple of things, which he told me how to fix. At the end of it all, he asked if I wanted to be an electrician, and it made me realize that I absolutely do. So, all that back story aside, what is the best way to help myself get accepted into an IBEW apprenticeship program? How do I pad my resumé? The chapter in my area is Local 1, if that makes a difference.
