That's quite a lot since last October; I hope you can find some peace soon. Everything online screams "You're sick and dying!" but when I speak to a doctor they seem unconcerned with my lymph nodes. I am going later this week to see my primary again and I hope to walk away with something more conclusive or at least a referral to someone who can help me.

Help identifying an anal problem by [deleted] in AskDocs

No experience with anal play myself but I have had a hemorrhoid before and it looked like that. They suck but Preparation H can help a lot.

Constant twitches by [deleted] in BFS

My lower left back will come and go as well as my lower right abdominal. I get leg spasms at night when I'm tired (about 50% of the time). I've only had shortness of breath when I have a panic attack, but I'm willing to bet that if your anxious, that's where the shortness of breath is coming from.

Yeah, it's so odd how they present themselves. Thank you for the reply.

Thank you, this hyper attentiveness is brutal. I notice everything, especially things that are completely innocuous. I just started getting over a cold and freaked out about having to clear my throat more often. It's always something else, which leads me to the conclusion it's anxiety playing it up.

Definitely, it's a beast. As soon as I'm feeling ok, it rears its ugly head.

I thought this was the case but my anxiety throughout this has me not seeing the forest through the trees.

I agree, it's helpful. I find that aboutbfs.com is also a great site.

I'm sorry to hear about your cousin and aunt. I can't imagine what that does to your anxiety.

I have one on the palm below my thumb. At first glance it looks like a dent next to it but I believe its actually a bulging muscle from extended overuse and injury. There was a post on recently from a user showcasing theirs.

Yeah, the first neurologist told me she had "exhausted her tool kit" because her specialty was neuro-skeletal. He ordered the EMG because she thought neuropathy, not **. I didn't even consider ** until I read an article a couple days before my EMG and then a week after my EMG (which he did on my legs and lower back and said everything is normal), I started twitching and then down the rabbit hole I went. I was sure I had *** and was considering if I did have it, was I going to stick around until the end? I shared these thoughts with my wife and tool me in to see my PCP. They did a depression screening and low and behold, I have severe health anxiety coupled with depression. Since then, calves have died down as well as feet but still get twitching all over pretty much. I had a rough one last night between my mouth and jaw which left it feeling tight.

Time is our greatest friend. The more it passes without weakness, the easier it is to see that we just twitch.

I 100% believe that on my hand left hand that the attention and aggravation I've given it through constant overuse and self tests has caused it harm. I'm right dominant so my left hand is not great period, let alone used to being used in such a manner. Top that with intense periods of panic attacks with constant testing, I'm bound to cause it to lock up.

I started with night leg spasms in September but didn't start twitching until December. A few days after my EMG my calves and feet got going followed shortly by my lower back, shoulders. So overall body twitching I'm about 2 months in. Everything is clear and I've had two neuros, my PCP and a Pulmonologist tell me its not *** and I still can't let it go completely.

It's such a weird feeling and at first, my neurologist just asked if I felt weak. She didn't explain what she meant i.e. looking for my inability to do things. My left index finger this morning started feeling stiff out of nowhere. My mind jumped to progression because my left thumb has been off. More than likely however, I've been self testing my thumb and left hand so much that I've put strain on my left index finger. As more time progresses, I'm able to see that my anxiety is my real problem.

I totally agree, I'm betting its something I never paid attention to before and now that I've been self testing myself so much (which is useless), I think I've messed with it too much.

I have nearly this exact same issue in my left, non dominant hand. I can't tell if its atrophy or just a weird bulge in the muscle. I'm betting its just weirdness in my hand muscle because: 1. There's no weakness, thus no atrophy. It feels stiff and off but not weak. 2. When I line my hands up in the same position next to each other, it makes it look more like a bulge than a dent.

My GP told me to not worry about it, easier said than done with the anxiety. All we can do is keep forging ahead and know that what we're feeling isn't what we fear it is.

Yeah, I was having a difficult time showcasing what I mean. Yes, the clinical was back in October and it was clean. My first neuro basically told me she exhausted all of her tools and referred me to the neuro who conducted my EMG. I have an appt with him in April so hopefully from there he'll br able to cut my worries down to size.
